That's not how bullets and rifle sights work. I don't think rifles would be zeroed to 0m but instead to something like 100m. That means if you engage a target at something like 50m, you'd have to aim low because the bullet makes an arch. The effect is pretty drastic in War of Rights where you basically aim for the knees in many engagements to hit center mass.
Edit: just tried a few guns on the Kennithh's Test map and none would at any range shoot high. The MP5 (and others I suspect) drop below aim at +100m but just a little. Tried to shoot just below target at 50m with a scoped k98k that would be zeroed to something beyond 100m and didn't manage to land a hit without aiming directly at the target. So it seems I was right. The guns are zeroed to 0m
