How to use the mic on the Quest 2?
It doesn't seem to want to work for me, i dont think it does anyway, which settings do I need to mess with for the mic to work in-game? Or should it automatically work? Thanks.

It should automatically work, maybe dig around the quest 2's settings and bump up or enable the mic. There is a way to tell if it is working, launch pavlov, go to settings and find audio. On the corner or somewhere there is a microphone volume slider and an indicator and when you speak the slider moves up and down, indicating that your mic is working.

In Virtual Desktop you have to enable the microphone in the settings first. You'll find settings by holding the left menu button. When you click Enable Microphone the Quest is going to ask you if you want to let Virtual Desktop use the microphone, you have to say Yes.

To be honest I'm also having problems with Quest 2 mic audio in Pavlov using link cable... that's a pity

So what worked for me was setting the input device as "windows default" in occulus app settings while having the occulus mic enabled in the sound settings in Windows.

And this is for Link Cable not virtual desktop.

if windows 10, type 'Manage input devices' (on the bottom left windows search thingy) and then from there you can disable non VR stuff and enable your VR mic/headphones. Hopefully that helps

Even so, go to your sound settings in Winows 10 and make sure the QUEST is selected for your OUTPUT audio device.

Then, in the game you are playing go to the audio settings and put "Default settings" or "default windows settings" are the output (or mic) settings.

But you HAVE TO go into the oculus app and go to device and make sure under AUDIO both settings are under WINDOWS DEFAULT.
