Oculus Quest 2 Sucks for Custom Zombies
I just bought Pavlov VR on Steam and it won’t load call of duty custom zombies. Does Oculus Quest 2 just straight up not have enough performance for it??

quest 2 can easily play zombies, if you bought it on steam and you have it plugged into a pc (or virtual desktop) the game will run. The headset itself in this state doesn't need "Performance" Its essentially just a complex monitor.

So should I turn down rendering or graphics? Why does it suffer and stutter so much?

it depends on your computer, not the quest 2.
the quest 2 is fairly high res and most cod zombie maps are really demanding

i have no issues with custom zombies, rtx2060 amd3600 and at high settings online max offline, well solo i mean, the normal zombies maps i have no issues with even on high rounds, but custom zombies like der riese custom with all the custom guns, better atmosphere ect ect, when the box is used fps drops so mad where as the other zombie maps it dont, and also later rounds it lags alot, i think its the map alot there not as optimised as the other ported ones

cpu framebuffer cant keep up due to possibly being overloaded by hundreds of zombie ai (as if they have anything more complex than a minecraft zombie)
it could also be your gpu, whoever makes these maps usually dont take into account how maps are rendered in pavlov, meaning bits and pieces of map you dont see are still being rendered.

When you link your Quest 2 via cable or wireless connection it simply works as a display, but the performance demanded from the game is used by your PC.

I don’t understand why people dont get this, you have a mobile phone attached on your head, how should it render stuff on your pc tower where each piece has the size of the whole thing on your head.

The game runs perfectly fine on my pc, my oculus literally freezes and lags whenever i try to play anything. The same thing applies for the oculus app, I even bought the virtual desktop to try to solve the problem but to no luck.

Are you using oculus link or air link? If it is air link, then maybe there are some misconnections between Quest and your PC. Check the distances between router, googles and PC. Virtual Desktop wont help with this, it's dependant on the distances between the devices as well. I'm using Oculus Quest 2 with air link and no problems so far.
