♥♥♥♥ the link cable. ♥♥♥♥ the Quest version.
You want to play the full game on Quest 2 right?
Do you really want to make a wireless HMD wired?
Nah, ♥♥♥♥ that.
Buy Virtual Desktop off of the Oculus store, then sideload the Virtual Desktop extension through SideQuests app. There are lots of tutorials on Youtube on how to do all this, it takes very little time and is pretty easy to do.
Once you have that all setup, with Virtual Desktop setup on your Quest and its companion app on PC, you can stream SteamVR games through your 5G connection to your computer. That means playing SteamVR games wirelessly on your Quest.
I do this with my Quest v1, and retired my old Oculus Rift because of the wireless capability with SteamVR.
Shame on everyone else answering for not knowing this. It is the most ideal thing about the Quest is its ability to play SteamVR WIRELESSLY WITH VIRTUAL DESKTOP!
UPDATE: Apparently don't listen to this in its entirety now as news just broke today that the Quest store version of Virtual Desktop no longer needs the Sideloaded extension in order to set it up for Wireless SteamVR. Guy Godin, the creator of VD has made huge strides with his app since it first came out on Quest 1 way back when. Initially you didn't need the Sideloaded extension, but Oculus/Facebook seemingly got butthurt that some dude was able to outdo them and make the Quest PC playable wirelessly far before they even came out with the wired Link cable option. So Oculus/Facebook nerfed his app on their store making it so it wouldn't allow Wireless SteamVR natively through the app. Oculus/Facebook however did allow the extension to be sideloaded to once again have use of wireless SteamVR on Quest.
Now it appears that Oculus/Facebook has once again allowed Godin's Virtual Desktop to work as originally intended without the need to sideload an extension.
So using Virtual Desktop on Quest just became way easier to setup. I highly recommend Virtual Desktop. Make sure you buy it off the Quest store and not on the Steam store.
Enjoy.
