For the Quest 2 version you can find all necessary information here: https://www.pavlovquest.com/install
Like the other person said, you have to change your name in the name.txt file, which can be done easily if you use SideQuest.
Again I have the steam version I just bought and my name says null. Only information I can find to fix this is for older quest installs. Where you could manually change it.
How do I change my name on steam Pavlov which I'm playing on my quest 2
I'll put it simple. I'm using a quest 2. I'm playing on Steam VR. Ive purchased the full Pavlov VR Game here on steam.
But my name in game says "null"
The only information I can find when googling this issue is for people who are using a very old version of Pavlov that's self installed on quest or the free version on side quest.
This is not my issue. I'm on steam. Own the full game on Steam. Playing on Steam VR. On my quest 2. And my name in game is "null" how do I change this.
That link you provided has nothing to do with the steam version on steam VR on quest. Thanks for trying I guess I didn't make it clear enough on OP.
I thought saying "why isn't it using my steam name" and that I'm using Oculus link that you'd know I was playing the steam paid version on steam VR. Sorry for inconvenience.
Any ideas now. ? Cheers.
Should my steam name be showing or what? Do you own the game does yours. Or you just providing the amazing helpful insist you gave lol :)
if you are using link maybe reinstall the game
Does your main menu have a plain gray background, or an animated snowing background?
Really strange, that means you're definitely running the latest version on Steam. Hmm... try navigating to AppData Local (%localappdata% in cmd) and deleting your Pavlov folder, maybe?
I would not be surprised if it's another glitch or bug. I've got one bug celebrating its third birthday next month.
