Fps drops still?
So ever since the December oculus update I got frame drops in every game. They released a patch which fixed it and made all my games run smooth APART FROM PAVLOV.

I don't know if it's something pavlov needs to do but my fps was smooth af always being 80fps never dropping before the update. Any ideas?

GTX 1060 3GB
Ryzen 5 2600 4.1ghz
16GB RAM
1tb ssd

Unsubscribe from all modded maps.
Some maps that are made by the community can have poor optimization. (Changing graphic settings in game does not improve this either low or ultra)
GTX 1060 3gb is a little low for VR. I had the RX 480 4GB and still had FPS drop, had to upgrade to 8gb for VR purposes.

Yeah but i had 0 fps drop on Container Yard before the oculus update and now it's unplayable.

many custom maps, mainly zombies, have been horribly buggy or laggy and almost unplayable when even solo played. My guess is it's a server and a map config issue. I have played Zombies Mansion 2 though and even with all the zombies they have it running smooth as butter so props to them~

MINIMUM:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows 10 64 bit
Processor: Quad Core 3 Ghz+
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: GTX 970
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 16 GB available space

So, looking at this...you already don't meet the required graphics card. A 970 is about the same as a 1060 but the catch is...1000 series have lower power than 900 series. Maybe this is the cause? I also would never run a 970 either way as it is the minimum and knowing pavlov...they likely have never touched these requirements since release so all the updates over time have likely changed things to need more specs at minimum. The way I see "Minimum" is solo play only. Once you go online...*POOF* specs need to be doubled.

As i said, i really wish people read what has already been said, "my fps was smooth af always being 80fps never dropping before the update." . I never experienced any framerate issue in my time playing this apart from december update. Even my friend with an RTX 2080 has the issue.

woah woah woah....if this friend of yours is using a 2080 and getting lag, its either the map, or the internet provider. I've played with thousands of players and the ONLY time it happens is on unoptimized maps, and also only when the lobby gets fuller. If your friend lags on small maps than I would need to see some evidence of this along with the CPU specs and if they did something crazy like overclock by 30%. There should be NO lag on basic and currently updated maps for a user with those graphics even at ultra as I play every day with someone with a 2080 super.

He has 120mbps super fast fibre broadband and he gets the issue on container yard. It’s nothing to do with hardware. Even people are complaining on Reddit and some have a 1060 6gb, 1070 and 2060s even some AMD cards get the issue. So you can rule out hardware and graphic drivers completely because that ain’t it.

Than its unoptimized maps and pavlovs servers. All there is to it bro.

Please don't comment trying to help if you don't understand what you're talking about. It's happening to 70% of people with oculus software due to an update. Maps and servers dont have anything to do with it.

Maps and servers play a good part. If its not that than its hardware side. It's software or hardware dude theres literally nothing else lol if it's not your hardware, its the games software. Pretty common sense if you think about it lol.

So you’re saying a map that came with the game (container yard) and playing on Europe with 9ms ping and getting 20fps dropping even lower is the maps and server playing a bad part?
QAlphaX0 Feb 17, 2020 @ 7:54pm
If the map is not the problem than it would be the server yes. It's a computer linked to a server. Hardware and software. Unless you think someone is DDOSing you than there is no other explanation...well maybe ghosts, jesus, or gnomes...maybe a flat earther can give you a better idea?

Overall, stop being a prude and deal with it. I'm done here.
