game lagging insane amounts.

before my game worked smoothly, but today i booted it, note i have cleaned my pc etc, the fps was like 10 and the lag spikes were every 2 seconds.

Delete unused custom maps. For some reason having a lot of custom maps installed affect performance

Do you use am Oculus headset? If yes, don't play the game via Steam VR, that is known to cause lags.

yes i use an oculus headset but i always choose the oculus option, i never play it through steam vr
