Hunt and Zombies needs a lot of work.
Both Hunt and Zombies are good ideas, but holy hell do they both need some work.

Also why was offline deathmatch/etc removed? I think it should be added back.

Zombies
  • Zombies are too fast.
  • Zombies do too much damage.
  • Too many Zombies spawn at once.
  • There needs to be some sort of "Freeze Time" before matches begin. "Press [X] / Leave Circle to Ready up."

Hunt
  • It's literally just Zombies but they have guns.
  • Should be more "Terrorist Hunt" styled. (IMO)
  • Same issue with Zombies, there are too many NPCs that can fire at you at once.
  • NPCs should be spawned in groups and the player should have to hunt them down, rather than have 8 or so NPCs mindlessly walk towards us and shoot at us.

Currently the zombie mode is way too easy, making them slower, do less damage or having fewer of them is only going to exacerbate that. As it stands you can sit in a room with a pistol never move and never take damage.

Just get 2 players in a room and shoot the doors and GG. They funnel on doorways. But I think the hospital is a test map for this new mode. Imagine being in a city with them spawining everywhere and not having a camping spot. The would be perfect. Running and reloading and aiming everywhere. Thats challenging. Its a new mode give it time

Hunt does need some tweaks. lovely new map, but gameplay is nothing you can't do in regular bot deathmatch...
Getting it closer to Rainbow 6 style Terrorist Hunt would be lovely.
Also, NEEDS an option for online co-op as well as just offline play.
Would be nice to have the buy circle between waves so you can resupply (guns/nades) and heal (pills/syringe) before leaving the circle to initiate the next wave.

How about even a L4D style story mode? Where you go around the area, looting, and then do a specific thing that activates the horde

Have you tried playing this mode alone? It's nigh impossible to get past round 3. Also multiplayer is a non-awnser for this issue. If I'm playing alone, the gamemode should not be scaled for two or more people.

I initially only played it solo. At this point I've only played with other players once and given how easy the mode is I ended up literally not shooting as the other 3 players had everything covered. I don't expect I'll play with other players again until they update the mode. I'm surprised people ever take damage in this mode at all. I'm not sure if the waves always get harder or after like wave 5 or 6 it's just the same thing over and over. I'm usually bored after the AK and M4 spawn a few times and just quit.

At this point the Last Days custom maps are way better and more fun for multiplayer.

Neither mode is my cup of tea but I see real potential for them. Wish we could have something more clever or creative for popcorn hordes instead of, "yawn", zombies. Some dude suggested raptors, I'd definitely be down for raptors, giant bees, newly awakened sentient machines like fridges and office copiers, anything that can constitute a horde that isn't a zombie.
