New patch brought new weapons, some old ones were nerfed, a lot of people are very happy with it just some who are not are vocal about it.
Nothing wrong with that but as a rule gaming forums are not a good barometer for how good the game is, they tend to be top heavy with negative experiences due to that rule 1 in 100 give good feedback and 1 in ten give bad, that stat I just made up but it's common knowledge in customer service people seldom take the time to report good experiences but will flock in droves to report bad ones :)
Game is unbelievably cool give it a go!
TDM and DM aren't fun at the moment with a new sniper that's ruling the battlefield. I'm hoping it will die down after a while, but who knows.
But yeah, new update, new balances maybe need a look at. But this is a great game, get it now.
I'm around 400 hours played (200 this account) and can't say I have seen anything toxic. There are always annoying individuals but as far as any kind of 'community', what do you mean?
I mostly stick to DM and TDM and lone wolf it so perhaps that cuts a lot of it out. Might be worth joining a clan / team / league if you want more serious play, anything mixed with Joe public tends to be a mixed bag.
This reminds me of Warcraft groups, you certainly couldn't judge that entire community based on random pickups :0)
