thats because its a completely unoptimized always on rootkit. i had the same with valorants vanguard. the moment i installed it, it used 6-10% of all my cpu cores at all times, until i uninstalled the game and the rootkit. since then i'll never install an always on rootkit. easy anti cheat is alright because it starts when the game starts and closes when you close the game so it doesn't affect your system at all apart from maybe when you are playing a game thats EAC protected. and thats a maybe as so far i've played dozens of EAC games and never had a single problem with performance !
Aww man, at least get 3 responses in before going to the "i have nothing intelligent to say so ill try shame your profile" trap, it really shows you don't have two braincells to rub together, you could have done better if you attacked my grammar.
Learn to read my posts with understanding. BTW: "Easy anti cheat is literally 1 of the worst anti cheats ever. " - oh, really? Because you say so? Compare the number of productions based on EAC and those on nProtect. Compare yourself what kind of productions they are, and don't be surprised if you see that nProtect is the main P2W-type junk.
If it's so easy to bypass EAC by running a file, how come Apex isn't completely flooded with cheaters in every match I play?
There's a whole list of nProtect games on Steam where you can go to each of their boards and ask if they've "been breached" (
https://steamdb.info/tech/AntiCheat/nProtect_GameGuard/
Given that nProtect has been tried and tested for over 20 years AND Steam has a small library of nProtect games where you can search for these mythical breaches and you can't find any; your paranoia is extremely unfounded and has no apparent basis in reality.
tl;dr: it's been used for 20 years. Show us the breaches.
It's almost always top 5 on Steamcharts, which doesn't even include people playing outside of Steam.
Saying that it's not played by a lot of people is just false.
Edit: Also Steamcharts doesn't include private profiles like mine.
You shouldn't lie and make ♥♥♥♥ up when people can prove you wrong; you kill any credibility you could have ever had and get yourself blocked because no one will take you seriously.
And reminder: every can see your steam posts, even if you have a private profile.
And to the guy that asked about it being flooded with cheaters:
You should Google "Apex Legends" and "cheaters". You don't see the cheaters because you are not top tier where they all are.
You don't understand how Steamcharts works it seems.
It counts people that are currently in-game, not people who have the game in their library.

You're just adding unnecessary steps
The only time the number isn't on the hub is if it's below a few hundred current players.
Just go to https://steamcharts.com/
You can say the same thing for the most played game on Steam currently. For a game it's a lot of people.
