Black Screen when I open the game

Ever since the unnamed patch that came out the past day or two when I open the game it just holds on a black screen. This didnt happen prior to the patch. Sometimes if I'm lucky the game will actually proceed to the main menu but there's a high chance it just gets stuck on the black screen and I have to keep restarting until I get lucky.
It'd be nice if the patches that came out didn't randomly break the game like this...

I had a black screen early on and I fixed it by disabling controllers in steam. Now the game after hours of playing it won't start and just black screens the same way.

They need:
-Queue system
-AFK kick for those idling on ship
-Handshake system that loads you into a queue and not just staring at a black screen

They have a system that loads u in a queue. Normally not a black screen like what is happening rn. Normally it will say servers are full and it will let you view the loading screen while it counts down from 30 over and over. This is different

Found this.... This is a known issue that the developers are actively working on. For NVIDIA Users: If you're using an NVIDIA graphics card, disabling a feature called Image Scaling in the NVIDIA Control Panel might resolve the black screen issue.

I am getting a black screen to on launch. I think games not working well on pc are indicative on Sony's studios sadly.........

Nah, Nvidia here but image scaling is disabled. Blank screen from the last patch ( .00009). ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and this beta state games released as complete.

I was stuck on the capacity screen for 20 mins - gave up and Alt F4'ed - retried to open the game and now getting the black screen? Dunno. I am trying to verify the game files to see what's up.

Delete this "C:\Users(username)\AppData\Roaming\Arrowhead\Helldivers2" it's cuz the game is in fullscreen. Change it to windowed before you leave the game.
