CPU usage 100 percent

Anyone else just start having the game eat up 100% cpu? It was running fine up until about 30 minutes ago and now its super heating my CPU. Not a hardware issue, can run any other game fine without it spiking in temperatures. my frames are capped to 144 and even lowered the quality to lowest in the game and it still happens.

EDIT: it is not a PC issue for the people who arent experiencing it, I dont care to here "Its not happening to me!" Game was working fine until recently, happened mid game where temps spiked and now CPU usage is constantly at 100 percent. It is strictly the anticheat and game using all cpu, even after closing everything it continues to eat up any available cpu. I see some other people have randomly had similar problems, I am asking to see if it started effected anyone else and what they did to fix it

Are you using the in game frame limiter to cap your frames?
It has an immediate and sever impact on performance
Turn it off and limit your fps on a hardware level (if you havn't already)

I just wanted to point out that lowering graphics quality tends to load up the CPU more than not.

If you are CPU bound, generally increasing the graphics settings alleviates strain on the CPU by shifting the burden onto the GPU.

That being said, hitting 100% in a game is generally not normal, and would indicate multiple threads being saturated.

Im afraid this is not true anymore. Kinda was how it worked in dx9 but not anymore. Some graphical settings are pretty cpu heavy. The lightning will eat many cpu cycles too. Shadows can be very taxing for the cpu too. Not the resolution of them but how far you see can see them (what they call "cascade shadows). There is this other game im playing where i get 70 fps with low lightning and the gpu has left 20% of "performance" (cpu blottlenecked) to spare. If i turn the lights to a higher setting, the frames drop to 55 fps and the gpu usage lowers to 60-70% instead of increasing. That is with unreal 5. Some graphical settings are totally dependant of the gpu, but some others will squeeze both. And yes, this game is a mess and going to 100% cpu happens once in a while, i believe is the anticheat spiking in the background...

Try downloading a program called "process lasso". Install it. It is used to asign threads to aplications and some more stuff. Start the game with lasso on. Minimize it, go to lasso. The anticheat has 2 diferent processes you can see in lasso. Select both and "select affinity" to just one of your cores, then also give them "priory below normal". This might help with those cpu spikes if they are happening due the anticheat. It will spike yeah, but only in 1 core and with less priority than anything that was running there. Wont make it perfect but might help you.
