so yeah, i have no idea what your claim is but its a bit weird that after this whole debacle, your the only one making that claim, and only suddenly, to me, out of the blue.
He'll gaslight and lie endlessly.
I also got banned from the discord and I joined after the channel lock. The dude is out of his mind.
the situation, ultimately when broken down is a mod made a pretty easy mistake to make, people used it to troll, and instead of just letting it die down, several people came here to complain about it, and even worse, several people you to the person in questions twitter to doxx them.
regardless of how much you care about a simple mistake, we are comparing a mod ultimately trying to do their job, to who knows how many people trolling and harassing individual members.
oh fun, what did i defend?
I wish I could laugh, but it's just all so sad when the people behind that server completely betrayed their community by one act.
People will complain on every facet they have access to. Twitter, Facebook, Discord, Forums, etc, etc, etc.. servers are down.. people are upset and want answers.. and they're not making the brightest choices with emotionally upset people. Empathy goes a long way in community management. I guess no one learned from the cyberpunk discord.
correct me if im wrong but the whole server is unoficial to start with? managed by the community? it is a bit silly to expect them to have any training to start with, and especially to think they will sit there and let people harass them rather then just close/mute the servers till things cool down.
and people can complain if they want, nobody is stopping them, there are plenty of people complaining about the connection issues here, but notice how we're able to have a discussion because this thread/forum isn't filled with gibberish.
And instead of reflecting on your actions and considering you might have been in the wrong you doubled down.
You vastly overestimate my compassion for someone calling the mod team corrupts after the mods said: don't spam, if you do you get a timeout, if you do it again after that we ban.
That isn't corruption. That is you being shown a line.
And since you responded my thread, it's weird that your pretending to not know anything about the "unofficial server"

It's hilarious that your on this angle that the "unofficial" server is run "by the community". it was run by spitzer! who Arrow head HIRED to be a mod on the HD2 server!

He better know what he's doing!
Typically you have senior community managers to recruit from within the community for like minded individuals whom want to be useful. I don't know what their vetting process is but they clearly failed. When I was working with ubisoft we had a a long process for applicants, including questionnaires, product knowledge, and a peer interview with a trial period. Including additional training by active moderators so people could feel much more self confident in their roles... but those systems have to be put in place. You always want to aim for people who have jobs with free time. You don't want randos who sit at home unemployed with too much free time on their hands.. it never ends well. (pick fights.. start server drama etc.) I could go on and on about this stuff.. but they really screwed up with this community, and it won't get easier from today.
it also doesn't justify who knows how many ignoring the warning to spam F anyway, and it especially doesn't justify the people who decided to stalk the mod and doxx them on twitter.
a mod made a mistake? sure fair, ♥♥♥♥ happens, they should be told how to handle the situation next time, simple.
does that mean the topic creator is allowed to hop into the discord to hassle the mods cause they didn't like people being punished for breaking the rules?
still no.
even if the mod made a mistake, doesn't excuse the actions of others, simple.
