So how is the experience with randoms?
I love DRG and I felt like playing with randoms in that game is a great experience. How is it here compared to that? Is it easy to comm without a mic? How would a random team fare in a higher difficulty (hard? extremely hard? impossible?). Just want to know everything I need to know about playing with other people bc I'll mostly do matchmaking co-op if I buy this

ive only done a dozen or so runs with randoms, but i will say mixed bag, some people are far more haphazard with how they play then others.

for the most part: i haven't had much problem and i have never actually failed a mission with others, and only had to kick someone once (that guy did not care if you were near with his grenade launcher)

but i feel that is also a thing im always wary of: if i see a guy with a grenade launcher now im always ready to get rid of them, personal bias maybe but they always feel the same.

overall, mixed bag, ive been killed a few times but overall people seem to know how to not TK much

yah i join randoms all the time, high level players are easyer to be next to while in game while new players... just let me tell u this.. u will die to new players more then u do with the bugs cause they are orb/air strike happy, i normaly run away from them and do my own things to speed things up quicker. best to wear scout gear if u do this though.

Mostly good, some dumb people
The worst player is staying connected and avoid crashing right at the end

Ive not had a single player drop into my game since the first 2 missions, but those dudes were alright. Since then though its like the game refuses to let others play with me

the randoms are better than the server experience thats for sure. It just sucks when one randomly leaves and you only have 3 people
It's been mostly rather good, from my experience.
A lot better than most multiplayer games.

i think in some ways it helps that death doesn't matter, completing the objective(and all side objectives) is 95% of the exp, even if you die, you lose, at most, like 80exp out of thousand+

there is a lot less excuses to troll when it doesn't really annoy others much.

though kicking seems to be an issue for people who dont host, it seems, something to consider.

Randoms are called randoms for a reason. :')

i honestly haven't had any issues....yet lol. if you're willing to kinda accept the hilarity friendly fire brings with it and not take things all too seriously it's fun. I've been respawned every time I died, haven't had to worry about people not paying attention to that. It might take a few seconds but i haven't had anyone leave me hanging in a match.

I've been on teams that dropped right near objectives and we completes missions in just a couple of minutes, and ones that were more than happy to explore and do other stuff too.

Some people, like brand new players, may not exactly understand anything goes in this game lol. So like others said, I tend to just give players a bit of space when SHTF
Pretty good experience overall. I mostly get bad experiences in higher difficulties where they completely turn their brain off and try to lone wolf, often leading to a charger ball of death.

That aside though, most people will coordinate through map pings and if you suggest things to them in voice chat.
As far as skill level though? Absolutely mixed lol. A good team will turn even Diff9 into a cakewalk, a bad team can make things a slog.

I've had good teams and bad teams. I've had teams where I'm killed by cluster munitions all game from a teammate and games where nobody is team killed. I don't think I've ever had a team that couldn't finish a mission.

I probably was frustrating the guy i was playing with. Although he seemed like a new player too as level 1. I was like .. TERMINAL! And it was all pipes and i spent a few mins playing with it. Then he solved it faster and i felt grumbled :gr_yellow_bug:
I didn't realise you had to call in an extraction so i just stood at the extraction point twiddling my thumbs until they arrived. They activated the beacon or whatever. Oops.

But in the bugs that were coming, I was murdered. But i didn't know if it was the bugs nibbling my butt cheeks or my team mate trying to shoot them away from me. Because i, of course both forgot there was a heal button and which button it was to use it.
Was all good fun though. I have never felt more useless in my life! :steamsunny:
