All the current issues with this game
A subjective list of everything wrong in this game.

First of all, it's obvious the game goes down the P2W path, like many modern games do for that sweet, sweet extra cash, and it has been proven many times that gamers usually fall for it. So, I fully expect for every problem I outline here a solution in form of a warbond-gear. Some of them already exist.

Inb4: Skill Issue

Crashes
I don't know what changed, but I experience crashes and disconnects pretty regular like others. I can't complete a 3-mission operation anymore, because I have to expect a crash. This is especially frustrating because it happens on a weekend.

Operation sequences
Speaking of operations, the game offers no option to re-enter a mission you crashed out off. This cancels out an operation entirely. Operation sequences get cancelled when you fail a mission or get kicked, too. Since playing with randoms is hit or miss, longer sequences correlate with higher probability it cancels for some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason. Thats frustrating and Anti-Fun. Fun solution: Operations don't cancel anymore at all, except for player input.

Player scaling
Everyone knows the 'r' in 'randoms' stands for ♥♥♥♥♥♥. That is the reason good games have mechanics in place that accustom for player-parties smaller than maximum. Either by introducing bots, lower spawn rates, more health or other things. The challenge should be adequate for the choosen difficuilty AND number of players. Many mechanics for a full party simply don't work. SOS barks have no notable effect, and waiting for a full team on lobby can take a long time. Combined with the crashes, leaving teammates is the major reason for operation sequence cancelling. I would argue that since the latest patches ♥♥♥♥♥♥ with the difficuilty so much, it's for these reasons that if you haven't unlocked 7+ difficuilty already, it's now impossible to do with randoms for the afforementioned reasons.

Friendly Fire
The friendly fire in this game is too aggressive. It's simply not acceptable that my own guard dog can kill me in half a second because it conveniently hovers at head-height. They WILL sell you a head gear for that some time down the road, and advertise that as a novel passive equipment bonus for helmets. Anti-personell mines are also notorious for killing teammates. Every time you die, you lose your probes and equipment, so cost of it is high. I don't want to run around looking for mines, nor wait 3 mins before I can call my equipment again or backtrack to it. Damage from friendly fire should be toned down. They absolutely should not be insta-kills on full health.

Time limits
Time limits suck. Period. Remove them completely. Replace them with nothing. There should not be a single mission with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time limit, except when there is a bomb going to blow up. They add nothing but stress. They incentivise players to rush (into your teammates anti-personell mines). I have absolutely no idea why they exist. If I want to stay on a single map forever for the hell of shoothing endless hordes of bugs, I should be able to. If you defend time limits, you are low IQ. ♥♥♥♥ blitz missions especially.

Map size
Especially on higher difficuilties, they are simply to big with nothing inbetween them. SHIFT+W are the most abused keys on my keyboard because I have to sprint from point to point for minutes for a fast shootout or treasure before having to hold SHIFT again. Concentrate the interesting content on some few small points. Instead of scattering treasure all over the map, have a single dedicated place for them that is heavily guarded. Extend side-objectives, instead of simply adding more. Don't have 3 egg nest, have 1 that scales with difficuilty into a massive one.


Thats everything that comes to mind right now.

Forgot enemies spawning literally on top of you. Why have such a big map if they don't want to use it to have enemies spawn far away and get towards you? That screams low priority on development.

The map sizes really are kinda weird, once you're on helldive it becomes so much walking that even if heavy armor wasn't useless I'd never want to bring it just because of how much that's bloat the mission length just moving from place to place.

Humans seem to be a lost cause. I swear to God you don't actually understand that people are different and enjoy different things. If this game didn't have things like time limits, limited respawns, friendly fire, and a high difficulty curve, I wouldn't play it. It's not just a power fantasy for everybody, my guy. Some of us enjoy a challenge.

Time limit : some idiot will just keep fighting forever if they don't see time limit i want to get in get the job done and get out as fast as i can and some people will not do that unless they're force to leave

team kill is what makes this game fun. its friendly fire for us as well as the other factions. We need shorter times and stronger primaries though and more reinforcements. I have gotten squad wiped within 10 minutes on level 7 because enemies were right on us or cannon turret had me zeroed before I even got out of the pod.

youre telling me that a game whose entire thematic point is a hyper satirical fascist government's devaluation of human life should not have friendly fire? you dont want timers that leave helldivers to death on these planets?

not only are these NOT gameplay improvements, I dont think you understand what this game is trying to convey in a thematic sense either.

the map time facilitates re-grouping, or a failure of that. you and OP's suggestion would streamline the interactions far too much and result in a far easier game.

the entire point of walking between objectives is it give the chance that your team will ♥♥♥♥ up and put themselves in a position that makes the game more difficult and more interesting. Conversely, it also affords the time for your team to group and prepare before moving to an objective area. it directly helps put an emphasis on the cooperative nature of the game,

feel like none of yall think about game design even in the slightest (its not like im a dev), just want to get a dopamine hit in 30 minutes and call it there.

You are the pinnacle of the modern target audience. A self-styled wannabe intellectual rambling about things that absolutely don't matter and loves to think of himself as smart. You don't deserve a good game.
