Why do people keep showing off their kill count in this game?
Literally on every social media page for HD2, you'll have 9825982525329402 posts showing off how many kills they have when it means nothing. Not like you'll get a steam achievement unlocked or extra medals or XP for killing more enemies. The dumbest post I've seen today was how this guy whining that he got the 'highest kills' yet he was still kicked from the game LMAO

Because they crave for "Up votes" "Thumb ups" and "Likes"
'green circle chasers'.

- lesser games have tried to remove the "post mission summary".
- disingenuous comments raged "we're only doing this so we can learn to get 'better'"

Scoreboard classic behavior. Don't worry about it.

Most of players know that the smoothest run on higher dif, are those with the less kills. I feel more proud when doing a whole map in 20 min, full clear on 10, with like... 600 kill with 4 people, than 40 minute of hell with 2000 overall kills.

Anybody can do 1000 kills if he took guard dog, turret, napalm barrage, and go do some bugs or squid. It's not skill, just e-p*nis.

ROFL

There are a lot of idiots in the antisocial networks. It's best not to look. It saves time and nerves.
Those are the types of people who waste 10 reinforcement points fighting random enemies while I literally do all the stuff.

It does make it easier to carry them, admittedly. Like jingling car keys infront of a magpie.

Because a lot of people think (incorrectly) that getting the most kills means you contributed the most to the mission, entirely missing the point that even if you die but complete the objectives Super Earth considers the mission complete. It doesn't matter how many squids/bugs/bots you kill, the only thing that matters is the mission.

Or, now hear me out there, i know this sounds crazy..... you kill lots of things in this game and people are interested in the statistics including how many enemies they have killed. You know, there's kind of a reason you are offered a stats page after the end of each mission. Beacuse people are interested in those things.

And that's completely fine and valid. I look at stats too, it's just that there are a lot of people who base their entire personality on 'bigger number = better person' mentality, which is dumb.

because its the age we live in persons can't find fulfillment in real life but they think they will find it in video games they don't know how to find satisfaction or what it even looks like its a sad age we live in when persons care about ego and fake bragging rights...

Not like people can show off the cool armor they got or the new loadout they figured out LMAO.

Can only show how good at killing you are as the meta is strong in this game and there is no customize ability besides the cape choice but most capes only look good when they match the armor.

There is NO endgame.

people are insecure and need to feel above others

Guy needs a steam achievement for things to mean something. Lol.

"I don't celebrate my birthday because there's no steam achievement for it yo."

"What do you mean we've been married for 5 years? Is there a steam achievement? No? then gtfo b*tch!"
