Impossible to play this game without spending three hours patching every other day

Actually if you have multiple drives (FOR EXAMPLE: I have a SSD for my main and a larger HDD) I found that EVEN THO Helldivers 2 was installed on my SSD on my C: Drive, it was downloading to my HDD on my D: Drive then patching over to my SSD which was taking ages. IF you wanna check that open up task manager when its updating go to performance and check if your other drive (Assuming you have a second drive) is being utilized at 100% it should look pretty obvious if thats the case. The Fix, simply unplug the other drive before installing a helldivers 2 update idk.

Wtf no, it is because the whole game is getting re-written every time you patch, that is why some people prefer to just delete the game and re-download it for every patch. 2 second download and then sometimes around an hour of re-writing.

Its Disk Speed, not internet. On my end it only took maybe a minute to download and patch the game. Every patch we have gotten has only took a couple minutes max.

I'm not sure if people have the game installed on a HDD or a dying SSD/M.2 or it very well could be a funky Steam install. I use to have issues with downloads starting and stopping the entire time, but ended up fixing that by moving all my games onto a different storage then my Steam install. Have had no issues with downloading and patching from that point forward.

I'm not sure how you have a weeklong event with entirely new missions and maps without patches. And then they needed to fix that... And then fix that lol

1 major update is fine, a hotfix afterward is fine too. This was half a "major" (medium) update followed by a hotfix, followed by the other half and another hotfix in a schedule that comes close to every other day. Some people only have 2 hours every few days to game, and updating the game twice a week is a big middle finger to them.
