An option to appear offline
My cross-play friends sometimes join my games when I just want to play alone. It would be nice for the game to have a hidden offline or invite only setting

Edit: to clarify, I don't want them to see me online on Helldivers 2 and I've heard that appearing offline on Steam doesn't hide you in the in-game friends list

Turn off crossplay.

I wish it had a private option
I, too, would like to hide from my console acquaintances

:v no but seriously I don't want to waste people's time if I'm just doing a daily

Set steam to Invisible and turn cross-play off.

Will appearing offline on Steam and turning off crossplay will make me invisible?

Unless they fixed it, hiding your steam profile completely breaks their match making.

I do have a lot of issues to work around because I'm literally never online on Steam. It is annoying, actually.

But yeah, turning crossplay off, going friend only and being offline on Steam should drastically lower your chance that people join you. As long as you don't use an SOS beacon, of course.

it should stop your crossplay friends from being able to join and keep you less noticeable to steam friends. But the simple solution is just to say, "aye, I'm just looking to play alone."

Set your matchmaking privacy to invite only so they can't just join. They'll see you online in game but won't be able to join you

My point is I want to play the game without cross-play friends seeing me online. If they see I'm online but invite only, they will ask to join which defeats the point

So grow a pair and tell them no, while putting your matchmaking to invite only?
Echo2Omega Aug 23, 2024 @ 10:01am
you can literally set your game to "Invite only"

Hii Startank!

A really good thoughts & ideas. Me to have been thinking about of a few more new options, then those that we allrdy have.

The only thing I have came up with, let say having those days where I only want to have PC´s people & or friends into the lobby. Then I turn the CrossPlay OFF, in the ingame settings/options.

The friendly setting & private, is a just a tiny little bet off. Having friendly ON, lets all social PC in game friends to join you, with out asking for an invite first. And private setting ON. Is that everyone are blocked out. Both public & friends.

if you mean to sometimes play alone with out the PS friends?
The only solutions is to turn the crossplay OFF.

But if you become invisible to them during that settings? I dunno, I don't own a PS5 console, perhaps some one else can confirm this better.

But an invisible option setting, would been a very nice idea as well, I agree.
As you said & I know to, It does not help being invisible on steam, as we are being seen on Social as well.

Mmmmm :)

Hi Echo!

oh so we really can put an option, invites only?`

I must have missed this nice option/setting, May I ask where exact that option could be found, thank you beforehand for the help.

I believe it is in settings, either just above, or below the cross-play option.

Hi Phyrixis!

Ah thank you very much for the hint, I must then have missed it out, since Feb release or & forgot this in the past, all together!? As HD2 indeed have many lines of options, I will take a look shortly. Cheers a lot, thank you!
