Jump Pack?
I gotta say, I didn't use it much at first but am really starting to like it. It gets you distance between you and either enemy type and lets you get up to higher/safer positions. My only complaint is I wish you could stim while in air. You can reload, which is useful, but I was on Hellmire and got sandwiched between some fire tornadoes and jump packed out... caught fire mid air and died a horrific death.

I love the jump pack!
Jumping downhill, even just off a small rock, can grant incredible distance.
Has got me out of sooo many scrapes!
Jumping away from hunters, berserkers, spewers, Jumping over chargers, Jumping behind rocks when getting shot at by bots, Jumping over fire tornados, the list is endless
I try not to wear shield as I feel it is a waste of the backpack slot just for extra tankiness, and I like the extra utility of Jumping.
I just wish that aiming in midair worked, also if I could stim in midair that would be great!

Yes! I would love to aim mid air too. The stim would be more useful, for me, but hopefully it gets some small tweaks. I'm not a fan of the shield either - I feel like it gives a false sense of security and gets taken down quickly.

its a nice survival clutch like the shield pack and much more fun to use. But there are other more useful stratagems could be taken in its place.

It’s decent in some situations but I will never use it due to the cooldown

The ballistic shield is underrated. I've lost count of how many times it's saved me from cannon turrets and tanks when I have it on my back.

One of the worst stratagems for me. Completly useless, it lasts like 0,5 second? It should have fuel like flamethrower and be usable for at least 5 seconds without recharging.

I must say I agree. Jump pack is fun and all but mildly useful at best, you are quite literally wasting a strategem slot that could've served you better if you picked just about anything else.

I haven't used the ballistic shield honestly, just the generator pack. I'll have to give it a shot and see. Are you able to hold it and still use primary weapon or is it secondary only?

I get that but a lot of other strats run out and are so situational and have a limited use. I usually will run rail cannon, eagle strike, quasar, and jump. It's more for survivability at lvl 8 and 9 difficulties. I dont like most of the orbitals have limited use, so after three orbital lasers it's a wasted slot. I've not messed with Turrets much because they seem to get accidentally hit/targeted and never get to do work.

Only thing the jump pack is good at is getting you up to inaccessible terrain at SOME places. Many objective sites have elevation that is too high or too wide for the pack to get up or across.

The cooldown, horizontal range and horizontal speed are miserable. In terms of mobility you're better off sprinting because both sprinting and using the pack drains stamina for some obscure reason.

It doesn't clear slows and is affected by slows as well, making it not even good at escaping hunters.

A Supply Pack is a better mobility and survival tool than the Jump Pack because of near-infinite stims.

Almost mandatory for me at difficulty 8+. Only way to create breathing room and I can charge quaser without slowing down.

Jump pack is almost mandatory against bots so you get the high ground and avoid most shots and explosives thrown at you. against bugs you can kite most of bugs but hive guards, warriors and scavengers can dig and nibble your butt. and if you're not high enough hunters will still jump and lick you to death.
