I would like different teams though yeah, but I still only see them being useful on bug worlds really.
Would also love to see a mortar as a backpack item, even if it requires another teammate to use.
I don't have high expectations but whatever happens ... surely it will be funny.
Waiting for it myself, in the first game it wasn't all that useful due to a screen restriction but it may be more fun in the second one
I expect it would have a very harsh cooldown or limited use to prevent groups of 4 from playing Pikmin so I can't see it being especially fun.
It really depends on how well the devs execute the SEAF soldiers' AI. If they duck and cover then that'd considerably boost their chances of survival. But regardless of how well the AI is implemented, the suppressive fire they provide will hamper automatons' accuracy - further improving their survival rate.
The ingame tips state that automatons become less accurate the more you shoot at them.
Yeah. That'd be their only use. Kind of like ballistic shield stratagem is only viable on automaton worlds. Although, if the mortar variant of SEAF troopers is added into the game then they'd be somewhat viable against automatons.
It should be made into an achievement - have all 4 players deploy SEAF troopers at the same place or something like that.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, do i love managed democracy.
But helldivers are the most important.
sometimes against bugs it is bad, but absolutely against bots it is your own fault if you die to it 90% of the time.
its not a matter of if it can be used safely, its a matter of no one wanting to change their playstyle to use it safely.
