game is down from 800k to 90k players (less than 90k on some days)....yikes bro....are you ok?
Yeah, the devs should listen to steam keyboard cowboys and how to run a business.
the devs made their money and now the game will be dead. its a win for the devs and a loss for the players. i guess youll be happy if you love deep throating the devs lol
I don't think it's a good idea to nerf the fun out of your game though and I'm sure it doesn't increase player count.
the population will take a big hit because the warbonds are ass and no new content is added
It is consistently in the top 10, usually top 5 of played and sold. How is that a spiral?
Most developers would kill to have 90K still playing there game months after launch and as long as I can play it its not dead to me.
By the OPs definition BattleBits is a dead game. Huge numbers sold, huge player count initially, but dropped quite bit in the months after it was released. Dead game? Seems lots of people still play it so probably not.
Palworld? Millions sold in EA, but look at the player count now compared to its first month?
Another dead game?
Naw.
But again, we all have our own definition of a dead game I suppose.
Not calling you a hater. But i think you're way too concerned with what people you don't even know are playing. It's completely expected that any and every game loses players. Especially the ones that get popular. Simple truth is they never expected this many players to begin with. It'll simply go down to their expected projections when the players go.
As long as there are a few other players in the game you got someone to play with.
As long as you poke your friends to play together there will also always be players to play with.
Your game will be here.
Arrowhead supported HellDivers for ages, its a passion project of their CEO, doubt it will ever stop receiving support until HD3 launches. They may take it the direction of Fat Shark and cater only to the most autistic of the player base.
Butt hurt angry steam boys aside, I won't even be worried when the player count hits 60k, or 30k, or even 10k. It is still good fun.
That's not even getting into the random and grossly unnecessary enemy buffs, and solo player penalty.
im also not a big fan of having to get a bunch of worthless stuff with requisites ill never use just cause I have to spend the things to unlock the higher tiered stuff
my 2 cents
Every game is like that, once you hit a certain unlock level your either playing because you actually like the gameplay, or your moving onto other titles.
See how long those l33t players stick around , devs keep treating balance as if this is a competitive shooter or league of legends , they will keep losing players.
and the fun thing is ? you will not see too many posts about it , players that just like to have FUN , will not bother that much , they complained once ,twice , three times ? then they are simply walking away , and the devs will only ahve the toxic PrO L33t UbEr GaAAAmEErs that scream and moan about what else they want to see nerfed to the ground next as the game is just sooooo easy for them and they NEED to be able to brag how they play with a shovel on level 90000 difficulty and solo it
Its more that people like to scream and moan on the internet with main character syndrome dripping out of there mouths instead of trying new things or testing old things.
I never considered a side arm and riot shield build, now I'm going to try one.
Only the whiners are talking about l33t players, I'm certainly not l33t and do just fine.
