>still delisted in 174+ regions
I know Sony said they'd walk back the requirement, but at time of typing it's still in the EULA blurb, the game is still delisted in nations that don't support PSN.

They've done nothing but make a promise (the company known for lying made you a promise) and that's all it takes to flip "Overwhelmingly Negative" back up to "Mostly Positive"?

Edit: Original title was "176 nations", is now "174+ regions"

I'm wondering was it Sony that had the game delisted or did Steam step in and do that? If t he latter I'm sure the problem is Sony hasn't talked to Steam on them walking back the PSN account requirement (HD2 News post on May 2nd has been edited to reflect this) and thus Steam has taken no further action. This is bureaucracy at work.

Actions speak louder than words. Apparently this community is full of deaf people.

A tweet means nothing. The last near two decades have taught us that. Corporations can say what they want, but they need to act for it to mean anything.

As long as Helldivers 2 is still unlisted in those countries, I will not be changing my review or playing the game. We said that we dive together or not at all, yet so many people are now backing off of that. It goes to show how real the outrage actually was for them.

We liberated one country already!
Amazing pace!

Starting to look like feigned retreat to me. While I dropped a positive review after the announcement I am holding off of buying super credits for new warbonds until I see this fixed. If not, I can always change my review, etc.

I thought Helldivers was kicked out of 109 nations? Where did you get 176 from?
Are you saying that if its only 109 nations it doesn't matter?

No not at all, but the it's important to get the figure right. 109 is a huge difference from 176. It's important not to exaggerate to huge numbers. Either way, it is a sad and those countries should be relisted.
I agree with you!
The count doesn't matter; the principle does.

People are using words like "countries" and "nations" instead of "regions."
Puerto Rico is neither a nation nor a country.

Its 177 Locations in 120 Countrys

Its pretty easy actually.... there are 190 Countrys on Earth, and PSN is only supported in 69 of them.

More than likely it was Steam stopping Sony from selling digital paper weights because they were getting bombarded with support tickets and refunds. The PSN notice and the region restrictions will more than likely stay in place until Sony can convince valve that PSN requirements are done for good on the game

Correct, for those that don't know, Puerto Rico is a US Territory like Guam, the Virgin Islands, Norther Mariana Islands, Minor Outlying Islands, etc

Arrowhead has confirmed that mandatory account linking is dead in the water, but that doesnt mean optional account linking has been abandoned, Sony could still totally add optional linking with some sort of incentive for players to do so like other playstation games on pc
