Don't Forget, their anticheat is a rootkit.
Seriously, uninstall that ♥♥♥♥ immediately. It has kernel level access to your PC.

Edit
It's called nprotect

That's the reason the PSN requirement was overkill.

How does one go about uninstalling it

That is actually the reason I still don't own this game, the kernel level anticheat. The PSN fiasco was just the cherry on top, though I blame sony for that....

When I uninstall Helldivers 2... will be the anticheat gone too?

All the anti cheat people crawling out from their rocks because they got a whiff of someone elses victory.

Like 80% chance. There's guides on how to uninstall the rootkit in the forums.

So is Easy Anticheat, Battleye and Punkbuster to name a few more. You'll be hard pressed to find an anti-cheat that isn't Kernel-level.

I don't even blame them. But at least the Devs read us the nGuard marketing pamphlets at game launch. So we knew what we were getting into.

I don't actually fault people for buying and playing a game they enjoy and not caring about the kernel level anticheat...

However I personally won't let an application like that get installed into my PC, and the PSN fiasco just made me even more sure of my personal decision to not buy this game.

For everyone that could care less about the anticheat, I encourage them to enjoy what otherwise seems like a great game.

Looks at "Outriders" being one of your most played games.

That has Easy Anti-cheat which is a Kernel-level AC.

So does practically every anti cheat software for games. Almost all online games at this point have Kernel access. Easy Anti-cheat(unless you're on Linux), Battleye, Faceit etc. I personally think Game-guard is worthless and slows the game ever so slightly but ultimately its put up with it or stop playing.

Yeah that was on my old system when I was going to be replacing it completely anyway.
I am much more leery on my new system.

As someone who actually deals with this stuff, and information security in general, no.

Just because it has kernel access, doesn't mean it's a rootkit. If that's the case, *none of you should have Apple devices, as those have kernel-level modifications*.
