Why is the base game only $39.99?

the anticheat needs root access to your computer. if thats a personal issue for you wait til they switch. its a budget option. otherwise, no catch. just a good game for a good price

The stuff you get in the extra edition isn't all that great either.
All the components of all the best meta load outs are in the 40 dollar game.

And the paid battlepass can be unlocked with a fairly reasonable in-game grind.

its $40 because its an indie game title and that is the standard indie price for a full game. also it is a more traditional price point that is far more appealing to the masses than the AAA recycled garbage that sells for $70.

As for anyone claiming pAy tO WiN. The game simply is not. The premium warbond unlock is pretty worthless compared to the free unlock. And the free unlock gives you just enough SC to unlock premium just by playing. You get 800 SC for leveling up and you grind the rest by finding it in game at 10 SC per stack. Then when you unlock the premium warbond you also get 300 SC again. So unlocking the premium is only 700 SC after completely leveling it.

Or people can be lazy and pay money to skip about 50 hours of gameplay. Then scream pay to win like we keep seeing.

That's literally how much a pc game should cost. The max a sane person should be willing to pay is like 50 bucks if game is 9/10. Unfortunately gamer consoomers buy 4/10 crap fpr 70 bucks.
