Weird bug with stratagems

I sometimes get a bug where I do the combination for my light machine gun support but instead I get an orbital strike and bomb my own location because I wasn’t double checking which stratagem got activated, then 5 minutes later the bug is gone and every combination for the stratagems works as intended but the bug is coming back every mission. Anyone else has that experience?

Check your planetary effects with C while on your ship. It will tell you waht debuffs are there. If it's scrambled, then your stratagem codes are scrambled and randomizes what is equiped after inputting the code.

The color, at least, helps you not throw firesupport as those are red.

It's not a bug. It's a mission modifier. you can look at the effects in progress before starting a mission

Not a bug. It's a modifier for some missions that scramble your strategems.

Not a bug, a condition in certain games called 'Stratagem Scramble' It means the bots have jammed the control signals to your ship and are messing fire support up as best they can. Just like ECM in real life jamming radar to keep missiles from launching or tracking.

Look at it this way, at least you CAN still use them. You just have to be careful.

As others have said above, there is an effect that randomises your stratagem after you dial it.

If you look where the stratagem list is after you do the code (but before throwing it) it will be showing what what is actually in your hand (and will be called down if you do throw it).

It slows you down a bit but at least you wont drop an orbital at your feet.

If its the wrong thing just redo the codes till you get what you want (or at least get something that will suffice).
