What CPU do you have?
What are the temps on your GPU/CPU?
How much RAM do you have?
There could be any number of issues.
I'm using a 5900X, 64GB DDR4
3060ti, ryzen7 5800x running high settings & 2k monitor 70-90fps.
20fps is unplayable lol. Try change monitor to 1080?.. are you using display port or hdmi?
My wife plays on a laptop with a 3050Ti in it and 32 gigs of RAM and an i7 (can't remember the exact model), her performance ALSO decreased significantly, to the point it was unplayable for us both. Her laptop has not been modified, so she's using the same hardware she was using prior and playing fine on.
All other games run with no issues on max settings with raytracing where applicable (ie Darktide, Cyberpunk, the new Body Cam etc).
The next day I sat down to try and solve the issue, trying some fixes that were suggested on Reddit and other locations. While playing, Helldivers crashed and bluescreened my computer with a "Kernal Security Check Failure" error. It took me about an hour to get my computer BACK up and going after that disaster. I fully checked my system, ran a full RAM check, etc. No issues and it hasn't given me an error since, no matter what else I play or do (I also use it for work related stuff). So I'm about 98% sure it's nothing with the computer itself.
I have also had an issue where Helldivers 2 crashed and corrupted it's folder on my driver making it where I could not delete the folder. I had to boot my system with a Linux Distro to remove the corrupted folder.
Helldivers seems to have terrible issues, and for those that DO experience the issues...they borderline virus activity....and they only seem to be getting worse. I haven't fixed my performance issue yet, with the crash that happened last I'm scared to even booth the game back up and risk possibly damaging my OS and having to do a complete reformat.
Every PC is different. Everyone has different hardware, software, and wetware. Most issues are PEBKAC and the ones that aren't are either fixable or not which is typically easily determined with a bit of research and/or assistance from kind strangers online.
Me. It doesn't run like a dream or anything but my RTX 2050/Ryzen 5 7535HS/32GB RAM puts out a decent 50-60fps depending on the action. Medium settings, 1080p.
TO BE FAIR I am a low-spec gamer and almost always have been. I never feel right shelling out a lot of money for something that amounts to a toy, so squeezing games into very tight spaces and making them work just as well as the next hardware tier up is something of a specialty of mine. HEAR THIS: there are a LOT more things that go into your performance in a game than just the game settings, your hardware, and what driver you have installed. Power options, background tasks/apps, driver settings, system (windows) graphics settings, etc. and so on. You can also try running the game in DX11 which was a HUGE boost for myself and lots of other people with not-so-great equipment. Make sure not to use the in-game FPS limiter, it's known to be hard on your CPU. Look into undervolting, you may get some pretty interesting and downright surprising results with that. Something simple: make sure you're not overheating, check for dust bunnies or hairy fuzzballs that might be gunking up your intakes/exhausts. Maybe it's time to replace your thermal paste? Lossless Scaling is a thing and it works well enough, I could lightly recommend it.
Lots of things you can do :)
I get 90 fps in high quality 1080 with my 3060 12gb
