If it's supposed to be a high ROF and high capacity weapon, it must have low damage. It has more damage output than a revovler and outguns the peacekeeper. No reason to use any of the other secondaries rn.

I don't know if it needs to be "as good/bad as" the Peacekeeper, as it's probably supposed to fire the same cartridges I guess so being a straight upgrade over it seems fine in my eyes.

The revolver on the other hand is pretty much worthless yeah. Slow firing, slow reload, low ammo and worst of all the same penetration? I'd even argue it's worse than the starter pistol.

you can kill devastators and hive guards with it

The revolver actually has higher penetration. Can pass through the armor on a hive guard. That being said, it works better on the bots.

Buffing the revolver would be the better tactic. You can’t just rely on nerfs as a balancing mechanism; buffing things that are underperforming is better in most cases.

True, somehow I got confused yesterday trying it out again that the other weapons can pen hive guards for some reason. Been using the scorcher too much probably.

Regardless the damage it puts out is pretty horrible imo, I've had no desire to use it yet and I even manage to justify using the flamethrower and laser cannon (post buff especially) to myself.

It's got style though, I give it that.

the revolver is definitely subpar but for some reason i can't put it down, neither of the other secondaries scratch the itch

imo all it really needs to be viable is a ~30% buff to reload speed and 20 more rounds

You'd think with all this futuristic ♥♥♥♥ the armed forces would give the divers speed loaders.

Redeemer is straight upgrade from default pistol aren't every weapon suppose to be side grade in this game with pros and cons?

I dunno I'd probably still need a damage or RoF buff along with that.

If I can use my primary for chaff and switch to the senator to quickly kill armored things (like I'm currently doing it with the Stalwart/Scorcher) I'd probably bring it out more often.

But supposedly hints to weapon modification were datamined, maybe this will let you change the Senator (and most of the primaries honestly) into a more usable state.

The revolver given its 6 rounds and long reload speed need a huge damage buff imo.

Nerf this nerf that. :D I "love " this community.
If you think it is too powerful, don't use it.
But it isn't.
Yes it has very good damage and ROF.
But run into a single level 1 bug nest and you come out with no ammo left.
That pistol is burning through your ammo reserves like it is nothing.

But sadly the other secondaries are truly useless. They need some buffs.
