The game is a gun reload simulator?
The higher you get in levels the more reloading. The constant reloading is tedious and fun removing. I guess in the future they have digressed from 20th century and don't have bigger magazines or expanded mags?

Even in 1987 they invented a 100 round c-mag for the m16. There are shot guns today with 15 round mags. In Aliens 2 the Pulse Rifle stored 99 rounds and 4 grenades, the M56 heavy smart gun stored 500 rounds.

Only a few guns feel fun to use. Gun design seems like an afterthought leaving only a few worth playing which gets real boring quickly for a shooter game. I think they should have done classes like Battle field to make the player feel more unique. I think it would be really cool to be an engineer, medic or a demolitions expert in the game vs pick my loadout like everyone else.

Its fun but and a great entry to the market but if you are vet of first persons with countless options of weapons, load outs and weapon tweaks, you will become dissatisfied with in a week. I think this game is good for gaming as an industry as competitive games will take notice of some of these great ideas this game has done and do it better.

Lastly the terrain clipping/interaction is abysmal leaving your pc stuck or doing the funky chicken trying to get over a mound that half a foot elevated from the ground with a bunch of baddies on your tail, which gets old pretty fast.

Well the light weapons actually feel fun to use, like the uzzi but prepare to reload and then the fun stops.

You know there are other guns and not just Breaker, right?

Ass dps..
That's 250 bullets to shoot at swarms of small enemies. Use the machinegun for 150 shots of medium armor penetration but with much more painful reload.

If you want an OP gun that shoots forever and kills everything in 1 shot, find a different game.

There's no OP gun that will solve all your problems here.

Dumb thread. More crying. "Make the game the way I want it!"

Reloading is a gameplay mechanic, it's not something you just remove because "muh real life guns". It's supposed to be a limitation on the player's capabilities. Also, you talk about 100 round M-16 mags, now tell me which army in the world issues those as standard to its soldiers.

Also, it's a lot more than a week since launch and people seem still to be quite interested, in spite of the ingame arsenal's many flaws.

Seems to me that you're just a gun nut who wants the game catered to his preferences. Unfortunately Helldivers 2 is what it is, fixes will be made, balancing will (hopefully) be improved, by the game is fundamentally in a finished state.

Ok what prompted you too make this post? You tried to solo a nest Rambo style and you got chased down by hunters with all your weapons dry? Yeah no Hollywood infinite bullet cheat code here!

I actually love the reloading in this game. I think the mil-sim aspect blends very well with the arcady gameplay. It forces you to work as a team, so that you need to rely on your squad to cover you to reload. Or you can operate the heavy weapons with two players to fire faster. How many games allow you to do that? You can probably count them on the fingers of one hand.

If you don't like reloading, go play Doom Eternal.

lmao he's not any kind of gun nut. If he did, he'd notice all the realism aspects of the guns in this game, like the reload mechanic.

He's just your typical FPS gamer who wants this game to be another generic FPS that plays exactly like all the other FPS games he's played.

I'll never understand this "Give me fewer choices, Arrowhead!" argument.
Don't be the guy with 4 sentries if you don't have knowledge of sentries though, please, sentries killed more people than bugs.

If you do, next match I'll be the guy with arc thrower, rover, mortar, and incendiary minefield.

Dunno, he just strikes me as talking like those gun nerds who are obsessed with those guns with 38 different fancy aftermarket attachments stuck all over them, then starts getting really snobby about 'normal' weapons.

I like that some weapons have adjustable fire rates. Especially the MGs that have multiple fully automatic RPM options. I can try to conserve ammo or burn at maximum DPS depending on the situation. Frankly, I wish I had more low RPM settings for the full auto weapons. Most burn a clip too fast for the trash they are intended to kill. Sure, semi-auto or burst are an option for more conserved shots, but that does require a bit more clicking.

Pretty sure you just described a Call of Duty nut. As majikero pointed out, "real" gun nuts will likely appreciate the ammo/reload realism. Which is something that I simultaneously appreciate and find annoying, because I really hate throwing away perfectly good ammo.

So many questions I have reading this post… do you even like shooters? In literally almost every shooter game you have to reload often because… it’s a shooter. So yea when you have 200 bugs chasing you and you kill 10+ of them you often need to reload or get this: use your stratagems. Even if you hate reloading that much there are weapons that don’t require reloads or weapons with over 100 rounds or weapons that reload per round so it’s not like the game forces you into using their reload system in the first place. In a horde shooter you’re going to have to reload often, think deep rock galactic, cod zombies, or left for dead. On the point of “as a first person player the guns get old fast” the game is not first person so idk why that was included and the guns feel absolutely incredible to use so hard disagree there, i will agree that there is definitely a power imbalance but one that will certainly shift with updates. Lastly: classes. No. I think it just overcomplicated a game that already has balancing issues and it’s so overdone in modern gaming and often to underwhelming effect. We already have a medic and demolition class in a way due to how armor bonuses work, any special abilities or perks added on top of that could potentially be cool but I can also see it going bad in a multitude of ways, unless they put insane amounts of time in developing it I don’t see how a class based system would be necessary or even work out in a way that’s beneficial to the game. I think there’s many more interesting directions the game devs could take it rather than “oh here’s some basic classes”

It's especially fun when you have that reload glitch that's still in the game 2 months later and after 7 years of development where you finish the reload animation fully, then when you go to shoot you fire one round and you have to reload the mag all over again. Yet the hud element showed full mag, yep, they totally didn't just coast on their Indie title in order to reduce some of the blow back from the lack of QC.
