TUNIC
Scavenger boss
I just beat the scavenger boss. I tried various tactics other people mentioned, I tried cheesing him, I tried to beat him by skill. All these failed.

I beat him by trading blows. What did him in was getting those three hit combos which stun him briefly. He likes to dodge backward so pinning him to the edge prevented his escape and let me get plenty of damage in before I had to retreat and heal.

Of course, he still killed me with attacks which can neither be dodged nor blocked. He killed my by spamming the shockwave on top of me over and over, always hitting me with the corner (you can't dodge the corner, only the edge).

But eventually my brute force won out over his.

The shockwave is a lot easier to dodge if you remember that only the white squares are actually dangerous. Yeah this is obvious, but I had a bad habit of getting scared by the purple squares, panicking and rolling *way* too eagerly, then getting hit by the shockwave in various embarrassing ways. Most attacks I think it's ok to be pretty close to her but the shockwave is better when you're far away. Just gtfo, forget about dealing damage for a second, and be patient while it passes

It's possible to roll out of all of her attacks, nothing is actually nondodgeable, but getting the rhythm down is very hard lol I don't blame you.

She's definitely an intense fighter, that much is for sure, but once you figure out her patterns and learn how to counter her moves, she's honestly not that bad. Still punishing if you make a mistake, but by no means the toughest fight in the game.

i feel this is accurate for most the boss fights honestly, like yeah i used the cheater options the first go cause adhd makes it hard to learn these fights normally, hence i dont usually play these sorts of games but this one was just too hard to pass on but im on the second go and already downed two of the bosses the proper way, by far the toughest is the last boss for me... so much insanity happens in that fight its hard to keep track off....even when your using cant fail options.... -_-

Aye, that last boss is pretty chaotic, to be sure.
Ordinarily, I don't play games with Souls-like combat, myself, but I couldn't resist this game's allure and frankly the combat isn't nearly on the same level difficulty-wise, so it wasn't that tough for me to keep at it, and I definitely do not regret dumping all these hours into the game. :tunicidea:
