endgame question

I'm sorry if this has been answered a dozen times already, but I really want to avoid spoilers, and I'm afraid of running into them if I search for this topic.

I'm at a point where I have a choice between fighting what I think is the final boss, or digging into puzzles to presumably access a different ending. I would like to see both of them, though. If I get the first ending, will I be able to go back and then get the other one? Or is it like a Souls game, where the choice is final and I'll need to play the whole thing again to get the other one?

You can get both endings even if you've done everything.

In the Tunic release version of the game, version 1.0, if you did option B first, then you could no longer do option A. That was changed in the 1st or 2nd patch. (I believe there have a total of 5 update patches to the game)
You can now do either or in any order.

Yeah, you can pick the path of power or the path of wisdom at any time. Finishing one lets you make a NG+ save but you can reload your original save and keep playing.
