If so then the way I did it was practicing it several times next to the save statue so I could get all my mana back. I found the best way to do it the most often was using only the side of my thumb to hit all 3 buttons at the same time. I had the most success doing it this way and I was able to get the item that the memo page had a drawing of.
Don't worry. I didn't really spoil anything as you have no idea what I am talking about until you find that manual page. For both giving you a hint how to do it and where to actual do it. You will need that manual page.
Oh. I have never done it. Very early on in the game there is a manual page that shows this if it's what you are talking about. I tried doing this for a few minutes and nothing ever happened. So it must be a pain to do with the timing.
Do you have hit the attack button almost instantly after the roll because I was never able to do it. I might have to switch the sword to a different button to do it. But then that throws me off on which button I always use to put my sword in. No wonder I could never do it. :/
There is a 3 button "special attack", but you don't use it for combat but in a very specific area for a very specific purpose.
