Crash on Startup

Whenever I launch the game, it consistently gives me an error message, "Failed to initialize Steam [4]" I have no idea what this means or how to fix it.

I just purchased the game and whenever it launches it sits on the screen for some time before saying it is unable to initialize Steam. This is every time on startup. I've attempted uninstalling and reinstalling, verifying the file integrity as well as running both Steam and LLB as administrators. Was wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue yet.

@Depresso - since you deleted that thread I assume you fixed your issue somehow. Can you share how?

I'm not quite sure which step I took to fix it but after running the steps I took and THEN restarting my computer, it fixed the issue. Hopefully this helps other users with the same problem!
