Amount of single player content is subjective. There is a story mode with 20 different events and a bunch of comic book style cut scenes on each as well as arcade mode, 7 different AI levels and quite a lot of outfits for all characters. It'll get you a few hours depending on how much you enjoy that. I recommend looking up some lets plays, if you are unsure :)
The Switch version is 60 docked and locked to 30 in handheld at the moment. We are working on improving the performance. For now you'll get a smoother experience on other platforms.
I'm encouraged by YinYin's response above regarding performance enhancements, and hope the Devs can create a solid 60fps experience both docked and handheld in the near future. As it stands, I recommend prospective Switch buyers wait for those performance-enhancing patches.
It seems the few games that do have cross play are large profile and have their own dedicated servers managing all platforms to begin with opposed to us using each platforms dedicated match making service. And on top of that platforms still like to block permission even when there are no technical hurdles :(
Really sucks considering small games would benefit way more from this than large ones.
We've got other things to deal with beyond performance as well, but I will let you know if I ever learn more on the cross platform front.
