You don't have to use 2 step verification.
2.
I have used 2 step verification for a long time now and have had trouble 2 times. First time it was a "hacker" attack on Ubisofts servers and downtime was for like 12 (?) hours. Ubisoft also informed about this on their support channels. Second time was for like 30 minutes.
If you got trouble you can always play offline.
But i think Steams 2 step verification system seems to work better.
We have heard the Store community feedback, and therefore decided to deploy in the coming days the 2-factor authentication (2-FA) in the log in process on Ubisoft Store web page.
This change will allow you to safely log into your account and enjoy your experience on Store web page, just like on other Ubisoft web ecosystems.
Thank you,
Ubisoft Store Team
I definitely WONT torrent games just because of these third party programs.
FC5 is great, but nonetheless, Uplay (or "connect" w/e) leaves a lot to be desired. And thus a lot for people to legit complain about.
Port forward??? How archaic! What game/app needs that?
when we were trying to get Vegas2 connecting they asked me to do a bunch of port forwards which made no difference. Currently I have no ports forwarded and everything works as expected.
UBISOFT, WHY THE F*CK DO I NEED TO LOG IN TO YOUR STUPID SYSTEM? If I'd known it was going to be this much of a pain in the ass, I wouldn't have spent the $75.
Ubisoft is also, another useless DRM.
You know that right?
