That's kinda dumb considering you can pump about 20 automatic rounds into someone before they die. Plus fixed and repetitive death animations don't exactly = realism lol
they have a set number of animations when they die. gets old fast
It's not just them it's the normal enemies too. You can shoot an unarmored enemy with 3 separate bursts from the AR-C before they'll go down. Totally unrealistic.
And when they do go down, as I said... you get a repetetive crappy death animation where they just slowly fall backwards.
I can shoot them at point blank range and they slowly fall down. Sometimes I'll shoot them in the stomach and then the animation plays where they grab their crotch and slowly fall down.
In Farcry 4, it wasn't unrealistic like this. The bullets actually felt like they had weight and stopping power when you shot someone.
Mainly, my issue is with the death animations making it feel like the bullets have no impact. They're supposed to feel like they have a little weight to them when they hit the target.
Um thats not how bullets work in real life though. Most people just collapse after being shot, they don't get blown away into the air.
Thanks man.
Nice to see there is someone out there with a little common sense. They had some canned animations in Farcry 4 as well but they weren't nearly as bad and the body movements had better physics overall which made shooting feel a bit more realistic. Still wasn't perfect in Farcry 4 but it was bearable.
In this one, it's been toned down significantly. Damn, I hate when they do that with sequels. But of course it's because were always held back by consoles and in order to deliver smoother framerates on consoles (which is all that matters anymore apparently) they have to tone down graphics + physics.
I seriously miss PC Exclusive beast games that used to push hardware to the limits. Imagine what a 2018 Crysis type experience would look like maxed out.
But instead, games advance at a snails pace techwise now because of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ consoles.
