How to activate HD Textures?

EDIT: If you have the Uplay Version, click on "Overview" and then scroll down you will see "DLC Owned" and there are the HD Textures.


It's new in the Update but i can't find it where to enable it.

That was about a hoax of activing some sort of magic HD texutres previously.

Now the developers mentioned these themselves.

New Addition: HD Textures Pack

So it must be somewhere in the options menu. Anything else would be utterly customer-unfriendly (like activating these in an INI file).

Coop?
You mean Pseudo-coop.

A real coop is a system where one player hosts and others can join, but roam around the map freely.
Here any client will be teleported to the host, when he gets too far away.

in the gamerprofile.xml are two options

HDTexturesOptionSeen="0"
and
HDTexturesEnabled="0"

I have seen two options in "gamerprofile.xml", HDTexturesOptionSeen="0" and HDTexturesEnabled="0". Setting them to "1" does nothing.

no difference detected so far but I got some shadow flickering indoors now that wasn't there before the patch.

in the uplay launcher under dlc you must install the hd-texture pack

... ahm, and where exactly is that category? Got the gold edition and I don't see anything like 'dlc'.

Nothing down there ... :) no pun intended. Is it possible you got the ubi version and not the steam version. Maybe dlc representation is different.
