Money? Yes
Xp? Yes
Quest progress? No
There's literally a co-op faq pinned to the top of the forums with all of this info
- Everything the guest purchase from vendors, they keep them?
- Everything the guest found in chests, containers, Corpses, etc., they keep them?
- How about items optained from Reputation, do the guest keep them?
- How about Mission Items (Weapon, or other possible stuff) reward, do the guest keep them?
Thanks for clarification!!
dont forget about perks and achivements
No.
Wow.
Do you like spreading ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, troll?
Coop isn't broken, it works just fine. The host gets to keep all their progress in the storyline, the player that joins gets to keep all their exp, items and weapons they get. I play coop most of the time I play on the game.
I give you 0/10 trolling points.
So in Coop the only thing that is not saved when a guest leaves a hosted game is the Story/Mission Progression, everything else is kept and saved?
That means: Quest Rewards, purchased items and Reputation items are kept?
Cutscenes still work. YAY so you can be happy that Ubisoft knows where to place their priorities.
Stay tuned for Far Cry 6, when they finally get an actual Co-Op experience working the way that Borderlands did, but you will still probably get killed by the occasional hiliarious thing like clearing an outpost while piloting a helicopter, getting locked into a cinematic, and then being popped back into the air (without a vehicle) so you can fall to your death where you will remain in a permanent bleedout state, unable to respawn or access the menu to close the application.
This has been truly the most immersive experience from Ubisoft yet.
As for the world progression that are not saved, it's not a big deal for me, as I will play coop with a friends who is only availalbe during weekends.
So i can progress by my self on single player and when he want to play, i just need to join his game so we will continue our coop progression.
Some weapons are also quest-progression locked, but there are still expensive/prestige (funky skinned) versions of these questlocked weapons and vehicles that you can buy with sufficient money/silver bars, that can be bought at ANY time, regardless of your quest status.
So if you still want to play coop (as a client rather than host), I would recommend finishing ONE sector first (solo, or as a host) to get that fourth weapon slot and then play with other people, unlocking the prestige versions of weapons and vehicles.
Also do the magnopulse mission as solo/host, as there is no prestige version of that.
Another footnote is that if you are playing as a client and not making any RP/Quest progression, you are still getting all the $$$/perk point rewards, and if you replay these missions as solo/host you are essentially getting double the rewards.
Edit: I have found someone to play with, and will most likely finish the last achievement for Multiplayer today.
