Killing Christians - How Bad is it Lads?
So I'm all for an open world America but I don't very much like the idea of killing Christians. Just want to know how far this game goes. Are all Christian white folks demonized or are they sticking to actual puritan loonies?

EDIT: Not that bad, as it turns out. Thanks for the answers lads.

Okay so I guess you are a Telepath, thats nice I have never met one before. I think you we have a very different idea of what the phrase "hellish dystopian" actually means. I have been to Europe times it is far from what I would consider a hellish dystopia. I would consider say America in McCarthy's The Road to be a hellish dystopia. I would even maybe consider the city of Los Angeles in Blade Runner to be a hellish dystopia. I didn't really get that vibe when I visited Europe.

I get it, I promise. You're hella cultured, Europe is amazing, America is bad because "Corporations, bruv", etc.

Any country where I can't carry a pocket knife and can be thrown in prison for telling a joke is a dystopian hellscape. Fact.

I am not syaing one is good and the other is bad. You are attempting to undercut my argument by implying thats what I believe. I don't think America is bad and Europe is good. If I was seven years old I might have that opinion but I'm an adult so, I don't. What stated is not a fact it is your opinion. Unless you can look up the definition of "hellish landscape" and show me the words "Any country where I can't carry a pocket knife and can be thrown in prison for telling a joke" it isn't a fact. Both Europe and the US have problems, every nation has problems, some greater than others and mostly due to very complex circumstances and historical events. It is ridiculous to think that you, one man, can speak for every single person from Europe. It is ridiculous to think that if tomorrow, Europeans could carry pocket knives and tell jokes without fear they would all stop being envious of Americans and their country would transform from a "hellish dystopia" into a perfect nation.

The jokes are most definitely 100% out of spite. I'm not upset by them, but I'm also not going to pretend that Europeans don't live every day of their lives cursed with envy as a result of being forced to endure life in a socialist dystopian hellscape. It's the way it is.

European men are indoctrinated not to hate their socialist governments, most of the liberal cucks you see complaining about the states legitimately believe that socialism is the more enlightened path.

Is there a word for this? I'm really not sure. You're like, a weeb, but it's not a gross sexual attraction to Japanese culture, it's apparently the entirety of Europe.

I mean okay but, I have no idea how you came to this conclusion about me after reading the statements I've made.

They didn't make conservatives and Christians out to be the monsters that you'd expect from heavily leftist people like Ubisoft.

Seems like they have some actual sense in their heads and went out of their way NOT to alienate half the country and western world.

Most of the cultists don't talk about Jesus, God, and the Holy Ghost.

They mainly talk about the cult itself, even during firefights the cultists don't really say stuff like "FOR JESUS"

They say stuff like "FOR JOSEPH"

I was extremely leery of this game bc I think since there's one extremist religion responsible for virtually every major conflict raging today and I'll gave ya a hint, it's not Christianity.

It seemed like the lowest possible hanging fruit.

While it isn't perfect, the game doesn't spend the entire time calling you a horrible person for being white, christian, or a man.

In fact iirc the angry (and small in number let's not forget that) SJW ♥♥♥♥♥ are confused bc they expected heavy handed ill-informed slaps at "bible thumping rubes" and they instead were confronted with....people!

It's almost like that idea that everyone outside a major city isn't some "bible thumping idiot rube" is totally inaccurate and has no real world application.

I was ready to deride this game as yet another SJW, snobby, smug, caricature of middle america that the left despises so much.

Since it didn't turn out that way and the game is fun as hell I don't regret my purchase!

The only issues I have are the fact that you get taken out of the open world on a regular basis for VERY contrived reasons with no option to do anything but watch the cutscene and do the mission you're put into.

Also the endings, particularly one of them, are the worst video game endings I've ever experienced apart from ME3.

Which is really saying something.

That's my opinion anyway. It's worth the money and I had a great time, if they could fix the endings then I would say that apart from the unskippable missions you get forced into it's easily going to eb in my top 5 for the year.

+1

You don't kill christians... or, at least they aren't identified as christians (it's unlikely as they are part of a cult that kills people, lol)

Well that's where your flaw comes in burger, you don't have culture. You're an offshoot of European colonization that went independent, but your roots don't run very deep. That's why you always see Americans trying so hard to create nationalism, they are overcompensating for a lack of folk and nation.

The foundations of my city date back to the 13th century, there are many 17th century buildings still erect. Maybe down here I'll go to jail for self-defence, but there's no substitute for having such deep ties to the land you live on.

The open borders are ruining that one aspect we had going for us though. It used to be that you were native to your land and so was everyone around you, there was unity and strength in that fact. Now with all the foreigners we are losing our unity and strength, we are being forcefully divided and there's sheer resentment in the air now.

I really tried to have a discussion. It just turned into people insulting eachother and not even trying to open their minds to exploring a different point of view. ♥♥♥♥ it man. Let them fight.

Comic books, musical theater, and the greatest expeditionary fighting force in the history of warfare. That's enough culture for me, AND I can carry a pocket knife.

Theologically speaking, I wouldn't really think of them as Christians. Joseph Seed is their new prophet with a Jesus like importance. They put his new sermons and scripture above anything else, new or old testament.

I like to think of them as hyper-militant 1800s era mormons, but even crazier.

That's honestly hard to imagine

Honestly thought this game was making fun of Mormons more than anything. Joseph Seed = Joseph Smith = the true prophet of god.

The Mormons were a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crazy cult in the 1800s. They murdered and raped their way across the Western Frontier of America, landing in Utah. At certain points they had a standing army that rivaled State militias, which were called in to kick them out of states.

Joseph Smith died falling out of the top floor of a courthouse, while getting shot by the townsfolk who were about to lynch him. Mormons these days don't talk about it. Also, his followers nicknamed his right hand enforcer the "angel of death", and he would kill whoever Joseph Smith would tell him to.

It's really funny how nice they are these days ha

If you want to start moralizing, killing is bad regardless of their religion.
