AWFUL texture popping
any idea how to increase LOD distance ?? im on ultra and textures are popping in within few meters

Hardware? Same issue for me. I watched dozens of streams and every one had the issue. I think it's just the engine.

game installed on SSD, getting over 100 fps - its not about hardware

running around with this PS3 graphics makes me puke

You can try forcing 16x AF through the nvidia control panel. It still looks meh even with that but it's still slightly better. In-game Ultra setting for texture filtering seems to be 2x AF at best.

Considering the Far Cry series was one of the pioneers in open world there's not much innovation in pushing texture and asset streaming forward. Disappointing.
