John Seed at Falls End

I've finished the John Seed section and have a notice that John Seed has summoned me to Falls End. I'm running around the town but no ones around and nothing is happening. I've had issues with this game where events don't trigger properly. How do I trigger the final battle with John Seed at the town Fall's End?

He's in the church. The door should have an interact on it.

The church doors are open and the church is empy. I reloaded the game and its the same. Frustrating ... I guess I'll move on to the game's other sections.

I also load the HIT THE GAS mission but no tanker trucks light up on my map. :(

Try fast traveling somewhere else and saving/restarting the game then fast travel back to fall's end. Maybe that will help?

Unfortunately that didn't work. I'll move on to another section of the map and hopefully the event will eventually trigger. This seems game-breaking to me ... if I don't defeat John Seed the game won't progress.

Same thing here. Tells me to go to falls end and nothing happens.

Leave falls end and wait for the mission pop up, if you go there before he talks to you over the radio, it bugs out.

Had this happen to me too. I fast travelled far away and swapped in some Guns For Hire and the radio call came in. I've also read that you may need to do another side mission in order to get the call to trigger. Once John calls you and says that he's waiting you can go to Fall's End and the church will be ready.

Try going to John's Gate. Apparently I had to go there to free someone and that completed the quest.

OK, a couple of things:

1) You know the mission is *working* when, after John talks to you on the radio, a waypoint appears on Fall's End and the active mission changes. If no waypoint appears over Fall's End and the current mission banner doesn't appear, don't even bother going there because it's not working :)

2) @senornacho - that's what worked for me as well. Fast travel to somewhere far away (I just went to the opposite side of the map). John will come on to the radio, a waypoint indicator will update and your active mission will change.

I am on version 1.5.0 with the same issue. I have tried travelling to other islands, doing other primary and side missions - the John Showdown mission just won't start. The church and the city are empty. I am very frustrated and don't know what to do. Please advise.

OK, got it solved. Had to do the Air Raid mission which on it's own is a bug. It was on my list but the marker was not on the map so I didn't quite understand what I had to do. So I watched walk-through for that mission on youtube just to understand how I can start it. Once I boarded that yellow plane the Air Raid mission started, but the in the middle of the flight I got knocked out by a bliss/drug and another mission started. Once I completed it and then got knocked out by a bliss AGAIN to find myself in a bunker. Once I got out, John Seed finally radioed in and I could start that damn mission.
