Deep Rock Galactic
Is Plastcrete Catalyst a bit buggy since the last update?
I've had some games today wherein I could shoot an entire magazine at a platform and it still wouldn't detonate. I wasn't hosting.

it seems like theres a discrepancy between the client end and the host end where at certain angles the beam doesn't hit the platform on the hosts end

in this instance the engineer was 100% hitting the platform on his screen (you can even see some effects on the platform where he's hitting on his side) but the beam just passes under and doesn't register to the host, hence no explosion

Been playing solo and I’ve noticed it acting a bit similar

IK catalyst detonation can be delayed by moving the beam around on the plat but now it feels a lot kore sensitive about what counts as “too much” for movement
Yeah i had the same problem, sometimes they won't detonate at all.

It doesn't happen often, but when it does, it's really annoying, seeing that the inconsistency lasts for the entire duration of the mission
I can confirm that but it only happens to me once from the last update.
i was noticing this too, but there was another engineer in the game and i think shooting his wouldnt ever make them detonate but for sure sometimes my own wouldnt

I was accidentally able to reproduce it on my end.

I was in the middle of a mission, and when I realised the plastcrete wasn't blowing up, I tried aiming slightly higher. Interestingly enough, it blew much lower than where I was aiming at.

Thank you.
so is this a brand new issue with this update? it didn't happen prior to season 6?

Can't say I've seen the laser thing specifically, but I have had times where it seemed like I wasn't synced correctly with the host; and my platforms appeared slightly off from where I expected them.

seems like it, i recall back in season 5 I was still playing as a client and never saw this occur despite using catalyst a ton
