Deep Rock Galactic
New Player - See you in there
After much umming and ahhing over what co op shooter to get (came down to this, Darktide, or Helldivers 2) I finally decided to get DRG as I thought it looked more stable than HD2 and more balanced than Darktide, and I like the concept of the gameplay loop. Hope to have some fun times with this game!

Get Vermintide 2
Vermintide 2 is really fun, I have played Darktide way more but Vermintide is a solid one.
I couldn't get into vermintide 2, I just enjoy darktide way more and find it's gameplay a lot smoother

I got that game for free, played like 2 hours then never touched it again, that's how good that game was.

It's difficulty is alot harsher then DRG, I understand how that would scare you off.

Might I suggest an alternative:

I have no interest in any other Co-op shooter now. A few days on DRG and I realise nothing will come close to it. All the other games have extreme flaws and more stuff locked behind pay walls. Absolutely love the class balance and environment manipulation of DRG. What a fantastic game. Love the humour too.

It wasn't even that difficult, I haven't reached the endgame obviously, so I can't really speak on its difficulty, but the game just didn't catch me at all, not in the slightest. With DRG, I instantly knew that this game is something special. I started playing the game together with a friend and I told him after the first few matches "I can imagine myself playing this for a long time" 2000 hrs later, I'd say that I was spot on lol.

Idk, it seems that I just don't vibe with these Left 4 Dead-likes at all. I love L4D, but I felt the exact same way when I played Back 4 Blood or World War Z. Played a couple hours, then got bored and uninstalled. They felt like soulless copycats to me that completely failed at capturing the magic of their main inspiration.
