i guess i wouldn't mind having a toggle but the game is abandoned until 2026 anyway so theres not much point in asking
in bedrock version i believe if you set a button to sprint it works as a toggle
But Minecraft does not have a toggle-sprint in the way that's being described. It has a toggle crouch that does, but no toggle sprint.

to be fair that was added in 1.15 so its kinda new
it kinda has, if you has that toggle sprint on, you will sprint by default untill you press the sprint key again, even if you stop sprinting you will start sprinting again without pressing the key if the toggle is on, i know that because i played minecraft this week lol
