Mod that counts total damage dealt by each player?
I once saw someone use a mod that printed total damage dealt by each player in the chat at the end of the mission. Does anyone know its name?

I'd be fine not banning+blocking someone that does this in chat if it also printed how many times each player went down, how many objectives that players contributed, etc.

Doing a ton of damage is fine. Being proud of it is fine. Dickwaving in chat after the mission in comparison to your fellow employees is not cool.

Yes, looks like this could be the one, though it's not obvious from the pictures on Modio. I'll need to check. Thank you.

It was a host-only mod. The summary was shown as system messages (printed in green in the chat) as the drop pod departed. It's just additional statistic for the players' information, nothing more.

I find that the number of kills shown in the mission summary screen might not be an accurate representation of individual team members' contribution to fighting bugs, especially if that number only counts killing blows. With some more damage-over-time builds that seemed to underperform on kills, I'd like to see the damage done to get a more complete overview. Ideally the mod would also discard overkill damage done, which is effectively wasted.

I think the most important takeaway of both the point of "Quantity of kills" and "Total damage dealt" being inaccurate metrics to measure player performance is that we really shouldn't be caring in the first place.

And anyone that *does* care for the purposes of personal improvement should have a private meter to monitor in order to judge themselves and no one else.

The real thing is: Did we win? Did we struggle? What was the cause of that struggle? And if a non-contributor on a team can't be easily identified just by feeling it during the mission, then the secret is: It was everyone. When 3 people are contributing and one person is lacking, it's super obvious.

Is the sheer thought of someone outperforming you in a co-op game this degrading?

That was your takeaway from that?

Total kills is a meaningless stat, and so is total damage, DRG is an objective based co-op game; this is pure leaf lover behavior.

I kinda wish the mission end screen had a stat for how many resupplies we used. Then we could see who used the most or the least.
Then everyone can appreciate my super ammo efficient builds :)

This started to remind me of all those akshully csgo/dota/lol/tf2/overwatch is a team game and kills don't matter but I would argue that doing objectives is pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard with the bad guys alive.

If your build focuses on high single target damage, then you'd usually get less overall kills but more big target kills (praets and oppressors), which is just as important and valuable.
Killing floor 2 has a separate kill count stat for high health targets (scrakes and fleshpounds) which is a pretty good idea that could make sense to implement in DRG.

Ignore him, he's one of the usual trolls here who only comments to start fights.

I thought it was fairly obvious your point was that kills/damage are not good indicators for how well a player performed. Like, if you only have 20 kills compared to everyone else's 100, but you were constantly targeting Praetorians/Menaces/Bulks while everyone else was fighting grunts/swarmers, fair to say you contributed your share to the mission.

Not to mention mining, objective completion, revives, etc. There's more to "contributing" than just killing bugs.

I always love it when I find someone running it.

Because I literally style so hard on the team without trying I generally deal 2-3x the total damage of the rest of the team combined.
