Good builds for Scout & Engi Industrial Sabotage
I'm pretty comfortable with Driller and Gunner on Sabotage, but what about Engi & Scout vs. the Caretaker (Sabotage Boss.)

Also, do the Turrets do much against the Boss? Would be pretty convienent if they just targetted all the spots they needed to, but I suspect they don't.

Scout's Carbine (or whatever it's called) would be pretty good vs. the Boss, except the overheat stinks on all but the lowest Hazard levels.

Thanks.

turrets are mostly for chip damage against caretaker tentacles IMO if your driller isn't focusing them with heat (he won't) turrets also help if the caretaker chooses to launch shredders, you won't see sentries shooting the caretaker itself

as for engineer weapons: PGL Hyper propellant with incendiary, not only can you oneshot patrol bots but you can take massive chunks of HP out of vents and the caretaker itself, its absurdly good but then again hyper propellant has always been really solid, primary of choice isn't as important for the caretaker but explosive chem rounds LOK-1 helps offset the lack of crowd control on hyper prop

if that isn't your thing overdrive booster shard diffractor is also a great choice

Turrets will shoot the arms, turrets, and shredders but not caretaker itself. I like using dual turrets with turret whip on the shotgun to blast the arms. If you don't like chasing down the patrol bots you could take the smart rifle for the auto aim with maybe Executioner. Favorite secondary to use sabotage for Engie is breach cutter. It has great crowd control and also good single target damage. Can shoot it at the eye or use it on the vents. Inferno is a good OC for the fire damage.

For Scout you have a lot of options on sabotage. I usually take boomerang as grenade to oneshot shredders and bc the others aren't terribly useful during the caretaker fight itself. For primary the GK is great all around, could take AISE for weakpoint damage. You could take the Drak (carbine) tho. I usually just run aggressive venting or battery booster with that since those are my favorite ocs for it. The PCF mod in tier 4 is really useful for bugs and robots.

Embedded detonators on the Zhukovs is great for sabotage. Can do damage to the eye and turrets nicely.

Scout and Engie's builds on Sabo should be based on weakpoint damage, since it's their best way to kill robots and damage the boss.

Scout's best primaries for this are the GK2 (AI stability engine or Gas Rerouting are fine), and M1000 (Supercooling Chambers makes the boss easy, Hipster shreds bots and sniper turrets). Honorable mentions to Active Stability System and Electro-focus Shots, they're pretty good for dealing with Patrol Bots (either by letting you dodge more easily while focusing, or slowing them down).

Scout's best secondaries are probably Zhukovs (Embedded Detonators is really the only OC i can recommend here), or the Boltshark with Fire Bolts (this one is iffy, since it's really hard to land bolts on patrol bots. But on the stationary turrets it works well enough). Pheromone bolts are also pretty good as your non-Overclock bolt, since neither of the other 2 options are very useful (electro is good for the non-robot waves ig).

Engie's best primaries for Sabotage are the shotgun (with Turret Whip and Magnetic Pellet alignment), and LOK-1 with Executioner for damage, or Neuro Lasso for patrol bots/shredders). LOK-1 with Executioner is especially great at killing patrol bots.

Engie's best secondaries would be the PGL with Hyper Propellent (make sure to take fire damage since it's bugged on Hyper Prop and adds damage rather than converting it), or the Shard Diffractor with Overdrive Booster and the upgrade that gives +75% heat. Use non-boosted firing to explode turrets/bots, then use Overdrive for the boss.

I can confidently say these will be your best build options on Engie/Scout.

For engineer, the Breadcutter works quite well as it allows you to hit vents/eyes from any side. Just be sure to take the triple-split lines as the hitboxes can be a bit weird with a single line. Other than that, Hyperpropellant works a treat. Fatboy is also viable especially during the vent stages. I recommend running Shredder grenades and gemini turrets. I recommend the LOK-1 over Shotgun/turret whip.

For Scout I run either SuperCooling on the M1k, or AISE on the GK2. I take boomstick with Special Powder as it lets me cover ground ridiculously fast to get at downed dwarfs, reach objectives, or get across the room to get a line on the open eye. Boomerang is the go-to grenade, no so much during the boss fight but for the defending stages.

From my experience the Lock 1 can just delete shredder drones as they spawn. The shard defractor is also pretty good, because it does heat damage and can just delete turrets. I don't think shotgun would be so useful.

Huh... I thought only Driller had Flamethrower but guess I'm wrong.
So, which Engineer weapon or Scout weapon is the "Flamethrower"?

Honestly, I'm bad with proper nouns and probably need to look up most of the stuff the other people mentioned, but "Flamethrower" is the only thing mentioned that looks like a Driller weapon which I was pretty clear wasn't what this thread is about. (So maybe "Flamethrower" is some Engi or Scout Overclock, so I'm asking. Especially after "Nuke" was heavily mentioned as a Overclock/weapon in the past, but neither the Wiki I checked or the game itself would explain that was just an nickname for "Fat Boy".)

Re Everyone else who responded so far: Thanks! (I'm going to look up the stuff I didn't recognize, again... I'm bad with proper nouns.) Actually, I should make or find a chart with the names of actual weapons with pictures and whether their the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd primary of which character.
