i realize that you do this because of the xbox players, you are welcome to continue to do so, however, the steamworkshop would be important as an alternative option.
thanks for the information !
So basically my copy of the game is pooched and is my hundreds of hours sunk into my save and all the unlocks and what not I had are completely gone, along with all the temporarily available content like the anniversary/holiday/steam vote helmets. I'm not signing up for some 3rd party data collection app just to be able to click the "Mods Off" option that the game should be switched on by default. Now I have to re-install the game (not even sure if that will resolve the issue), start all over from scratch, figure out a hex editor to unlock the seasonal helmets I had, etc etc etc.
All this nonsense because a small minority of the player base wanted to be able to shove some stupid memes sounds and skins into their lobbies. What an absolute disappointment.
Dont do anything stupid, the devs can help you, usually you give them your savefile and they can repair it.
I have the same problem , how do I send the files to him?
Hey, man. Sorry to hear you're having issues - Save Game files can be tricky sometimes, but we have several safety precautions in-game that safeguards your progression. With that being said, corrupting a Save Game can happen anytime and from anything, so fear not. It's not necessarily modding's fault. Anyway, I'll try my best to help you out!
First, backup your Save Game files in the SaveGames folder of the game's directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Deep Rock Galactic\FSD\Saved\SaveGames). Then remove them from the SaveGames folder and launch the game. If your Save Game files are corrupted, that should at least enable you to launch the game. Once you're in-game, open the ESC menu and navigate to the Saves tab. Press the 'Restore Save' button and see if you can restore your lost progression from the overlay that opens up.
If this doesn't work, reach out to me on our Discord server, and I'll see what I can do from there. Good luck!
I'm fine with them on the main save, actually :) But it just seems kinda weird.
update: I clicked one and it created a new level1 savegame, and when I changed back to my main save, every mod I have was suddenly enabled again. (the last mission I was on had only 1 mod installed)
update 2: after disabling every mod and trying to join a nonmodded lobby, it still makes me click "disable mods"
I believe there are some issues with mods automatically enabling
update 3: Can confirm, mods re-enable even after both normal AND modded games. maybe a "disable all" button would be nice. It keeps moving xp to the wrong saves and causing other minor issues like that.
