Swappable Active Perk Keybinds
I would like the option to change what actions an active perk is tied to.

Iron Will for example is bound to holding down the jump action while downed, and Hover Boots are bound to holding down the call Molly action. I think it would be nice to have the option to swap them, or any other active perks with another active perk's keybinds.


Sorry if this is stated in a confusing way, I can't remember if I've even ever used steam discussions before, and I struggle to explain things! D:

I 100% +1 this idea

Unfortunately this has been requested since the release of active perks. From what i understand, it isn't happening in order to keep the number of buttons limited for gamepad / consol users.

I gotcha @Vash, that's why I'm suggesting limiting it to just swapping which ones are bound to the already existing keybinds, since this should be doable with controllers and keyboards. :D

That's usually the point of playing on PC, to be able to bind stuff to whatever extra key you want. (among other things) We don't need console ports and controls bogging down the PC experience.

Hover Boots really should be activated with a hold to space. Why a jump-based perk isn't tied to jumping....

Imho, a perk used often as a panic button shouldn't have a hold button activation either...

Also, double tap keybinds are AWFUL design. I would likely use dash a lot more otherwise.

This is by far the feature I want most in the game. To hell with console players, just disable the option for them if it would break things.

As a note, it would be doable on controllers too, since I'm not asking to allow it to be any keys, since it may come with less complications if you're simply able to swap one active perk's key with another active perk key.
