Mark - Auality Qssurance 02/21/2020
--- PATCH NOTES ---

- General Sprint Speed increased
- Enemy Movement Speed has been slightly increased for Haz 4 and 5 and on Elite Deep Dives now that player Sprint Speed has gone up
- Added a new mechanic to Ziplines. All dwarves can now slide fast on Ziplines that are angled downwards. Simply look down the zipline and press and hold forward to let go of the break. Release forward to slow down again. Sliding speed is relative to the angle of the Zipline.

7.1% Sorry

The exact value of the buff was not specifically stated, but the nerf to second wind from 20% to 12% was 'in order to retain the same total sprint speed' which leaves around 7.1% of a base speed increase in order to fill the gap.

100x1.071x1.12=119.952
Close enough.
Seems to check out.
120 / 1.12 / 100 = 1.0714...
And so, 112% / 107.14% = 4.67% slower.
Less than 5% difference :approve:
When I look at the videos it feels more like he covers more ground on the right.

So you can go through the effort to make a needless loop
but not get a fresh recording from a tunnel in the salt pits?
I don't even have the game installed.
If it bothers you that much, there are a bunch of ways to increase movement speed. Overcharged Winch, Hardened Drill Tips, Second Wind, Sweet Tooth, Combat Mobility, Special Powder, RJ250 Compound. And you can optimize the way you play, like using Satchel Charges and Drills more often for mining, and making full use of pickaxe power attacks and their increased radius or recharge mods.
Lol

How does a pickaxe make you decent speed?

I mean, I don't see any of you making a video to prove my video wrong.
That's because we don't have archived twitch footage of past updates. Believe me, I would love to prove you wrong, but I don't know how to access older versions of the game.

Regardless, the people posting in this thread have proved you wrong, as well as pointing out an important difference between your comparison videos.
Why are you people so scientific? He wants nothing but a justified reason to give up the game. Stop pretending you wanted to play with him. Leave him alone.

It's more about proving him wrong so those interested in the game don't get the wrong idea.

I certainly don't find the dwarves too slow even by default running/walking speed.
I was very vocal when they originally gutted Weekend Athlete because speed and movement is #1 for me in a game, and I can tell you it's since been fixed and improved upon with Dash.

Just don't use the utter garbage that is Weekend Athlete and you're good.

I don't see a proper reference point in this comparison.
