What missions do you grind for blank matrix cores?
I am quite literally going on 30 missions now per core, upset would be putting mildly.

Mining, salvage, point extract. I usually find one every five missions or so.

Blank Matrix Cores only come from the first missions from the Core Hunt weekly and Deep Dives. So you only get 3 a week.

If you are talking about the events to upgrade them, today has just been bad for finding them for some reason.

I believe he meant about finding machine events to use blank cores.

Bingo..guess ill try point extract, any specific difficulty/complexity?

I find a lot in Egg Hunt and Salvage Operations.

Length 3 mining have a good chance of having them if I'm not mistaken. Short egg hunts or PE if rushing for them, seen people saying.

Do point extractions on hazard 1 as scout and just grapple around the map. If there's no machine then just abort and try again. Point extraction maps are pretty small, so it only takes like 2 minutes to check everywhere.
It's boring and kinda exploitive, but it works! Also good for hunting cargo crates if you want those.

I always go max complexity/length when looking for machines. Difficulty doesn't matter.

I found 6 blank cores this week, so I assume I now have all weapon overclocks and am only missing cosmetics, hence the extra blanks. lol

I don't think there's a tried and true method outside of using zippy scout on haz1 3/3 complexity
but that's boring, I'd rather just play the game
I never had trouble finding all the machine events I needed in a week until I got all of my weapon OC's
And remember to explore the whole map, if there's an area unexplored when you hit the button you just may be missing out on a machine event

It's rng. Some times i find 4 or 5 in a row. Other times i can't find one for days

Point extraction. Scout. Haz 1. Can't find one? End the game and try again. Takes 3 minutes to explore the cave so this method is best for time efficiency and you'll probably find some crates too.

Yep, point extraction / low complexity is by far the fastest mission to do, so run through them on haz1 and look for machines. Didn't find any? Finish it quickly and run another one. Salvage / low complexity is a decent candidate too, at least it's preferable to medium complexity stuff.

I don't think there's any merit in picking high complexity & long missions, machine events are kinda the same as cargo crates, they seem to have a fixed chance to spawn per normal mission.

Just found 3 in a row. Salvage, PE, and Mining.
