Why Are Yeast Cones So Rare?

Seriously, compared to any of the others they are ridiculously rare. Especially considering how much they're used! Even barley bulbs are more easy to come by. Balance it out a bit. Please.

For me they are quite common. I usually find them in 3's or 4's. Malt stars on the other hand, pretty damn rare for me. Then again, some missions i find dozens of beer stuff, some I find only like 4 or 5 in total. Although once you'll unlock those beers and try them for a couple of times, you won't even care anymore, since most of them are not worth the effort (like a beer that makes you fart once, dance or freeze).

My experience too. And the Nuts are so plentiful (although they're used in the most quantity).

I hope at some point each dwarf gets a once-a-mission calldown for a round of pre-selected booze. Having some of these effects on during missions would be fun (and lethal).

But yea, Yeast Cones are the bane of my existence. I'll just keep chugging along though, figure by they time I do all my current assignments I should have enough to afford a few of the buff brews.

Yeah, Cones are proving to be a PITA in finding followed by Barley. Tons of Star/Nuts compared to the other two. I'm wondering if they are Biome based, though it doesn't seem like it yet. Would be neat, though tedious, if they were.

I think it depends on the biome. I seem to get more yeast cones in the fungus bogs

Cones are the hardest to see. That's why they get overlooked more and therefor you get less. If you run tier 3 size and complexity you will get more.

I've got an absolute stockpile of yeast cones (over 200) but less then a dozen starch nuts.

That is true. Plus they always seem to be hidden in the weirdest spots, like behind crystals in Crystalline Cavers and so on. Victims of randomly generated caves
